THE LORD JESUS AND HIS ENTITLEMENT. The statement of the Father to the Son. Thy throne, O God. Heb. 1:8 At one and the same time proclaiming the Lord Jesus to be both God and the recipient of the throne of God. As God, Jesus is coequal with His Father. Their attributes are identical only Jesus recognized His Father to be Lord and honored Him as such. From everlasting Jesus, as the Logos, the Word had been in the form and nature of God. He therefore had every right to account Himself as being in the complete likeness and in full agreement with all that was God. Phil. 2:6 All that He was, His high and holy status in eternity, He willingly and graciously laid aside. Humbling Himself to become a man and a servant. An offering and a sacrifice and the Lamb of God. The mystery of that which is Godlike is tremendous. This Jesus, who is God, was born in human form after having lived eternally with His Father. The Spirit of the Lord proved Him to be the just and true one by anointing Him for service. 1 Tim. 3:16 His tenancy of the throne is well documented. Particularly in the book of Revelation. THE
ETERNAL THRONE OF HEAVEN. Throne rights are to be granted to those who are triumphant. The Lord Jesus Himself is seated on the throne of God with His Father and has extended to the overcomer the same right to be established in that throne with Him. Rev. 3:21 It is a vast throne, far more extensive than the imagination of man has ever thought it to be. Take for instance, the time that Isaiah saw the throne that was very lofty and very active. It extended high into the atmosphere. Isa. 6:1 Ezekiel saw it lifted up above the firmament and exceedingly beautiful. Eze. 1:26 One is seen sitting on that majestic throne. God has but one physical body and that is the body of the Lord Jesus. Jesus plainly stated that He was in the Father and the Father was in Him. John 14:10-11 As it was then, so it will ever be. The Father in the Son and the Son in the Father. Therefore the only physical body seated on the throne is the resurrected body of the Lord Jesus. God was in Christ. 2 Cor. 5:19 And so that blessed relationship continues even to his day. Anyone who is Spirit filled should be able to understand the relationship that is accomplished by the Spirit when He fills an individual. It is Christ in you. As we continue to walk with the Lord we continue in the Son and in the Father. That same unity and relationship is ours in the Spirit of the Lord. 1 John 2:24 It is marvelous that the very center, the heart of the throne is the evidence of a slain Lamb. Inasmuch as He is standing it is evident that He is no longer dead, but is alive forever more. Horns speak to us of power, seven is a divine complete number. All power is in His hands. He is the King of kings. The seven eyes, the seven Spirits of God, or better, the Sevenfold Spirit of the Lord. The Spirit is not divided up into seven fragments but the number denotes fullness, fullness of Spirit. The sevenfold Spirit may be found named in Isaiah 11:2 On the throne the Father and the Spirit are resident in the Lord Jesus. Don’t worry, we will recognize the Father and the Spirit.
