THE DEITY OF CHRIST

HOW ABSOLUTE IS THE POWER OF CHRIST? His capabilities are equal to those of the Father. Jesus had been given all power in two realms, heaven and earth. That means, power to the extreme. Unbounded, unlimited, full and completeness of power. There is no authority, force, strength or might that is greater than that which was surrendered to Him. Mt. 28:18 As a King, He has been given the throne of David. A throne that is empowered to achieve a dual administration. The earthly kingdom will be the Millennial age that Christ will establish, here on this earth, at the time of His appearing. The other, the heavenly, is the eternal kingdom built and secured in a New Heavens and on a New Earth. Luke 1:32

THE STRONG, THE ENDURING, THE LAST ENEMY TO BE DESTROYED. His name is death. 1 Cor. 15:26 Christ has already demonstrated His authority over death in His own death and resurrection. The passing of a Christian is far different from that of the unsaved. The Christian goes into light, the light of the Lord. The unsaved into darkness and eternal separation from all that is true and lovely. The child of the Lord passes into incorruption. The lost into corruption and the second death. Death will ultimately be completely defeated. 1 Cor. 15:53 Death will be completely destroyed, swallowed up in victory. 1 Cor. 15:54 Our victory is assured through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 15:57 The final destiny of death and the grave, hell and all who are incarcerated there, is the lake of fire. That will be the second, eternal death. They will be excluded from all that is heavenly, righteous and everlasting. Rev. 20:14 They are the ungodly dead and will be resurrected from their current abode. Rev. 20:13 There is no possibility of any change of destiny for these. That was determined while they were yet alive, in this life. This is termed the second resurrection but it is not a resurrection to eternal life like the redeemed. All whose names were not written in the book of life are to be cast into this lake of fire, which is the second death. Rev. 20:14

I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. Those who believe the Word of the Lord Jesus, even though they die [physically], they shall live again. The seal of resurrection has been placed on them. They are destined for life eternal. All because Jesus was able to say, I am the resurrection and the life. Life everlasting is found in Him. When death is not death. Jesus said those believing in Him would never die, and it is so. John 11:25 The promise of the Lord is that when we are absent from this body, we are at home with the Lord. The release of the spirit from this house of flesh is of great benefit, an advancement for we are then in His presence. We will have gained our purpose in his life, and that is preparation for the life to come. 2 Cor. 5:8 Victory over death and the grave is assured through the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. He has made it possible for all who will, to have eternal life. 1 Cor. 15:57.
