THE DEITY OF CHRIST

JESUS IS LORD OF ALL. Whatever the realm Jesus Christ is Lord. He is acknowledged to be Lord of all. Acts 10:36 His resurrection is the proof and seal of the great love and care that the Father has for Him. For, not only did the Father raise Him from the dead but He has been exalted to the right hand of the throne of God. In so doing, Jesus was placed far above all in every aspect, whether it be rank or place, He is above all. There is no force, rule, principality that supersede Him. There is no greater power, none are found who are mightier than He. He is the perfection of dominion and leadership. There is no other name that can compare to His. Salvation, healing, deliverance, yes, all things are made available to us through His name, the Lord Jesus Christ. The majesty of His name is not only something that is ours to call upon in this life but in the life to come His name will never leave our lips. There never has been a greater name nor will there ever be. There is just something most wonderful and satisfying in that lovely name. Eph. 1:20-21

HIS NAME CHOSEN AND CONFERRED UPON HIM BY HIS FATHER. Exalted by very God Himself to the very highest place and the most lasting position of time and eternity. Surely His Father greatly loved Him as no other Father ever has loved. So tremendous is the love of the Father for Him that the Father has arraigned that all who exist or have ever existed will bow before Him and confess that He is Lord. Phil. 2:9-11 Jesus is Lord of both the living and the dead, sealed and verified by His resurrection from the dead. Though He died, He was raised again by the glory of His Father that He might be verified to be the Lord of the living and the dead. Rom. 14:9 The true confession of the stature of Christ comes from a heart that is filled and led by the Spirit of the Most High. Anyone may speak and say that Jesus is Lord but if it is not with the unction and comprehension of the Spirit it is meaningless. 1 Cor. 12:3 Jesus is Lord. Appointed and acclaimed to be so by the Father.

THE MINISTRY OF JESUS VERIFIED HIS LORDSHIP. He consistently demonstrated that He was a source of life. He restored the dead son of the widow to her, because He is the resurrection and the life. There was no special reason why He should have done this, except to demonstrate that He was, who He said He was and could do what He said He could do, that they might believe on Him. Luke 7:12-15 He healed, even those of a long standing illness, like thirty-eight years. He performed this particular healing in a unique manner by simply commanding the man to take up his bed and walk. Immediately he was made whole. John 5:5-9 Most importantly, He made known His power and ability to forgive sin. Many things are vital in our Christian walk but is there anything greater than to have our sins forgiven? Even at Calvary He prayed for the forgiveness of those who crucified Him. What great compassion. What marvelous love. Mt. 9:5-6
