JESUS, THE SOURCE OF WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE. The treasure house, the depository, the hiding place of that which is most necessary and most sought after. Secreted and maintained in the safest of places, yet dispensed to all who will seek after the great and tremendous treasures found in Christ. Wisdom, to be in possession of knowledge with the comprehension of how to apply it. Knowledge, to know and understand the truth, the reality of a matter or subject. All the wealth of wisdom and knowledge are to be found in Christ. Col. 2:3 That wisdom and knowledge is amply demonstrated in creation. How fearfully and wonderfully everything in His creation is so marvelously blended together. All was made by Him and all was created for Him. He is not only the creator but He is likewise the reason for creation. Col. 1:16 He is the manifest wisdom of the eternal and everlasting God. Paul compares the wisdom of man, with the wisdom of God and stated that the foolishness [the absurdity or the lack of knowledge] of the Lord is far greater than the greatest wisdom of man. We fully understand, of course that there is no such thing as a lack of wisdom of knowledge with the Lord. 1 Cor. 1:25 Godly wisdom is displayed in the lives of His people in, righteousness, holiness and redemption. 1 Cor 1:30

WISDOM IS ETERNAL. In the Proverbs, wisdom is presented to be feminine, but we find a very strong Messianic thread woven into it. He is the source of counsel and true wisdom. Prov. 1:8 The one who was set up, established or anointed from eternity was the Christ of God. Prov. 8:23 The WORD of truth, the Lord Jesus is presented. The value of the Word is expressed. Prov. 8:6-9 The worth of wisdom is greater far than things counted as precious to man. Prov. 8:10-11 Wisdom is given a personality that leads to a right attitude before the Lord. Prov. 8:12-13 Before the creation, wisdom was begotten or brought forth by the Lord. Prov. 8:24 In the whole of the act of creation we find a close and precious fellowship maintained. Prov. 8:27-30 Surely wisdom and knowledge are to be sought after and maintained.

WISDOM IMPARTED TO THE CHURCH. It is a portion of the manifold and immense blessings of the Lord bestowed upon those who love Him. The fathomless riches of wisdom and knowledge are immeasurable. The full measure of them will never be exhausted. Rom. 11:33 Wisdom and knowledge or revelation are Spiritual and come to us through the operation of the Spirit of the Lord. Eph. 1:17 To those of us who feel we are lacking in wisdom there is a wonderful promise given to us. He has promised that if we will request wisdom, He will generously bestow the same upon all who feel the need of wisdom. James 1:5 The wise man is the man whose conduct gives witness and testimony to the fact that he is a wise man. James 3:13 Jesus (wisdom) was the craftsman [NIV] at his side. Prov. 8:30.
