REASONS WHY MELCHISEDEC IS CHRIST

Why a priest after the order of Melchisedec, if the Aaronic satisfied the needs and requirements of a Holy and Just God? The order of Aaron is the ultimate of frustration. It is a priesthood which offered CAN NEVER sacrifices. That is, animal sacrifices can never remove the sin of any sinner. The continued offerings were sacrifices of futility. Heb. 10:11 Through the WORD we hear and understand the voice of the Lord. Thus, we come to a comprehension of His will and His purposes. The Law was but a shadow of the good things to come. Surely we would greatly prefer the object creating the shadow, than the shadow. The Aaronic priesthood CAN NEVER with the sacrifices offered bring the worshipper to perfection. Heb. 10:1 IT IS NOT POSSIBLE that animal sacrifice removed our sins from us. Because of its inability to remove sin, the priesthood of Aaron was a failure and failed to accomplish its goals. Heb. 10:4 Further more the Lord proclaimed His displeasure with the whole system of sacrificial offerings. Heb. 10:6 Hear the voice of the Lord,  I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand. Strong language. Mal. 1:10

The order of Melchisedec is to replace the Levitical. If the Levitical accomplished it purpose there would not have been a need for a replacement of the shadow with a real and effective ministry. The new order is to bring perfection to its adherents. Not only in the forgiveness of sin but also in the cleansing of sin, and deliverance from sin and all its corruption. The Old, forbid sin and brought condemnation without deliverance from sin. The New, while making sin to be exceedingly sinful, delivers the individual from committing sin as well as being forgiving. There has been a great change from Law, to the great grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Heb. 7:11-12 Righteousness was not accomplished under the Law. It could not be consummated by Law. If it could be, then Christ died in vain. Gal. 2:21 The weakness and unprofitability of the Law caused it to be annulled. Mainly, through its inability to produce perfection. However, under Melchisedec, what was impossible is not made possible. Heb. 7:18-19 Finding the first covenant faulty, the Lord replaced it with a new covenant. A covenant established and certified by our great Melchisedec, the Lord Jesus Christ. Heb. 8:7-8 The will and desire of the Lord toward His people is no longer written on tables of stone but now they are written in their minds and hearts. Because of the Life of Christ everyone born of the Spirit has a strong desire for the Word of the Lord, whereby His will and His desire is made known to them. Heb. 8:10 Under the Law it was religious activity, but, now under the new covenant it is a life lived. The manifestation of the life of Christ Jesus being constantly renewed and revealed in the hearts and lives of all those who are truly in Christ. The person receiving Christ will experience great changes in their daily life. New desires, a new manner of living and most of all a new hunger to know Christ better.
