THE DEITY OF CHRIST

THE PERFECT LAMB. The Old Testament Passover lambs were chosen very carefully and fully examined for any defect, for they had to be faultless. Ex. 12:5 The Lamb of God of necessity had to be spotless and perfect. Redemption is through the spotless, pure Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, He is the only acceptable offering for sin. Apart from His precious blood there is no salvation. 1 Pet. 1:19

THE REVELATION LAMB. Nowhere in the Bible is the Lord Jesus more exalted and His eternal position shown that in the book of Revelation. The completeness of authority is relegated to Him. This is noted in the seven horns which the Lamb possesses. Rev. 5:6 When Zechariah, the Father of John prophesied, he said, that the Lord had raised up a horn of salvation, denoting power and authority in leadership. Luke 1:69 In the fullness of His status, the seven horns represent the absolute supremacy which is His, now and forevermore. The seven eyes, once again a full, complete Divine number. [ The book of Revelation is the book of sevens, or of the final state of things]. The eyes of the LORD see throughout the whole of the earth. 2 Chr. 16:9 There is no place or situation that He does not behold. There is no place to hide from Him. The seven eyes are the seven spirits [seven fold] of the Lord, or the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not and cannot be divided into seven spirits. This is simply the language of the symbol speaking of the totality of the Spirit. The seven fold Spirit of the Lord, which was to be upon Jesus may be found in Isa. 11:2. The seven fold spirit may also be noted in Revelation 4:5 represented by seven brilliant lamps blazing before the throne of the Lord. The Holy Spirit is the great teacher who has been commissioned to come to the believer as the teacher to illuminate and give understanding of spiritual things. John 14:26

A NEW SONG SUNG TO THE LAMB. It will proclaim His worthiness and His ability to do what none others could do, open the seven seals. The song will declare His work of redemption, by the shedding of His precious blood. Purchasing them from among all the peoples of the earth. Rev. 5:9 He has caused them to be a new kingdom. A kingdom like none other that has ever been. A true Theocracy. They are to be a nation of Priests and Kings before the Lord. They are unified and built together to be the spiritual house of the Lord. 1 Pet. 2:5 They will minister and serve Him throughout eternity, never growing weary of their worship and praise before Him. Rev. 1:6 They are destined to be raised in the first resurrection, entirely free from the second death [eternal separation from the presence of the Lord]. Also, they will minister, as priests during the thousand year reign of Christ on earth. Rev. 20:6 They will reign with Christ endlessly, throughout the eternity to come. The circumstances of that New Heavens and New Earth will be entirely different from conditions of this earth. There will be no night there, figuratively or actually, spiritually or naturally. It will be one glorious eternity spent bathing in the glow of His glory and light. Rev. 22:5.
