THE DEITY OF CHRIST

THE ULTIMATE REASON FOR CREATION. Regardless of the sin and fall of man. The desire of the Lord for His fellowship was so strong that He was willing to sacrifice all to rescue and redeem man from sin. For His very own desire and pleasure He made man. Rev. 4:11 Possessing a love so intense that the only begotten of the Father was sacrificed to redeem the object of His love. John 3:16 The completion of that love is seen in the Bride of Christ at the end of the age. Eph. 5:25

JESUS IS FIRST, BEFORE AND ABOVE ALL THINGS. While He became one with us He is and always will be the one who is superior to all. The preeminence is His. Before anything was created, He WAS. He is eternal. It is by Him that all things consist, that is remain in their current order. Col. 1:17 Scientist are constantly discovering the order of the universe and all that exists in it. That order is attributed to almost everything and anything but the true source which is the Lord Jesus Christ. The sustaining, the upholding, the maintenance of the whole is attributed to the, word of His power. Heb. 1:3 In all of mans discoveries, there is always a what is it, or a mystery. That mystery, is dispelled when Christ is given His rightful place and ability or power.

THE FATHER ACKNOWLEDGED THE EQUALITY OF THE SON. The Father directed a special statement to the Son showing His position and equality in Godhood. The throne of God is a shared throne. It is as equally then the throne of the Son as it is the Fathers. It is His throne or Thy throne. The eternal throne of God. Ps. 45:6 Heb. 1:8 The Son is likewise addressed as God by the Father. The equality existing between the Father and the Son may not be acknowledged by some Bible Scholars but it is very clearly promoted by the Scriptures. The context of Isaiah 9:6 is very definitely a Messianic proclamation where among the names that are ascribed to the Lord Jesus is that of, The mighty God. Each and every one of the names attributed to Him are indicative of His high and holy offices given Him of His Father. Paul spoke of the mystery of godliness, Then went on to say that, God was manifest in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. I Tim. 3:16 It could not be stated in a clearer fashion that Jesus was indeed, God, equal with His Father. Jesus, the Alpha. Jesus, the beginning. Jesus, the Logos, who was in the beginning. The Word made flesh, which was the companion of God. Was, is, and always will be God. The WORD, the Logos, was God. John 1:1 We have consistently noted the involvement of the Lord Jesus in creating all things that are in existence today. The writer of the book of Hebrews wrote concerning the house of God. In it he stated that He that built all things is God. Once again the Lord Jesus is called GOD. There can be no denial that it is the good pleasure of the Father to share and share alike all that He is with His Son.
