THE RETURN OF THE KING OF GLORY. What a momentous event when the Lord Jesus entered heaven with the blood of His sacrifice. He refrained Mary from touching Him, for at that moment He had not yet entered into the heavenly Holy of Holies with His blood. He was yet to ascend with that precious blood of redemption which will ever be on the heavenly mercy seat. John 20:18 For all His Divine nature, He was still the son of man, and as such could only enter before the Father by the offering of blood. Heb. 9:7 The high priest had to enter in to make atonement every year, but Jesus entered once and for all, An eternal everlasting sacrifice. Heb. 9:12 He now, is the one and only mediator between God and man. There is none other who has been granted the authority and power to forgive those who call upon His name. 1 Tim. 2:5 Because His blood originated from the Father, it was verifiable the blood of God. Glorious and wonderful sacrifice far too wonderful to comprehend. There could be no better sacrifice offered by anyone who even begins to compare to the Lord Jesus. His offering was the absolute matchless and impeccable, eternal, once for all sacrifice. There is none other nor will there ever be. Heb. 8:6 It is utterly impossible and most reprehensible for us to say that there will be an altar reestablished on which will be offered animals once again. There could be no greater insult to the Lord than to reestablish the sacrifices of the Law. See how the Lord feels about it. Isa. 66:3
THE ENTRANCE OF THE KING OF GLORY. A time of stirring and activity in the gates for the King of Glory is about to enter in. The gates are to swing wide in great welcome to this conquering King of kings. What a precious commodity He is bringing with Him. The redemption of every man who will ever enter into heaven is in His hands. The salvation of old and new testament saints all depend on the atonement that He is about to present to the Father. Glad moment the destiny of the redeemed is sealed and the heavenly mercy seat is forever established. Ps. 24:7 He is both the King of glory and the most glorious King. Most unique, the only one of His kind. He has fulfilled every demand that was presented to Him. He is the lamb of sacrifice. While at the same time He is the high priest offering the sacrifice. He is the slain Lamb of God ever present before the throne of God. He is the mediator. He is the King majestic and mighty. Victorious in battle and now received home with great fanfare and adoration. Ps. 24:9 Rejoice and be glad for the King of glory will enter not only heaven but the hearts of His people also. He is constantly seeking a closer relationship with all those who are hungry of heart and spirit. The King of glory desires entrance but He is seeking those who are of a positive spirit, ready to openly receive all that He has for them. The most important person of time and eternity, of heaven and earth is desirous of making a full and complete acquaintenship with those who will open to Him. Ps. 24:10 Behold I stand at the door and knock. What a visitor is about to be let into our open hearts door! Rev. 3:20
