THE WORKS OF THE PSEUDO LAMB. Not only will his prophesies be convincing but they will be accompanied by great signs and wonders, not just the tricks of a magician, but satanic displays. There is an inherent curiosity in the heart of all men, which creates a strong desire to see signs and wonders performed by the Lord. What Jesus said was, these signs shall follow them that believe. Not, the believer shall follow signs and wonders. Mk. 16:17 He causes fire to fall from heaven as an indication of his prowess. While Paul was speaking of the antichrist, it is apparent that the antichrist truly transferred his power and capabilities to his protegee, the false prophet. Note 2 Thes. 2:9 This take us back to the courts of Egypt where the magicians Jannes and Jambres [2 Tim. 3:8] duplicated the signs of Moses and Aaron, before Pharaoh. The two witness of the Lord will demonstrate a judgment of fire against those who fight against them, during the tribulation period. Rev. 11:5 So, once again the powers of darkness duplicate the manifestation of the power of the Lord. Signs can be deceiving, the Word is truth.
THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF THE FALSE PROPHET. That this man has the disposition and character to mislead and misguide people is blatantly evident. In direct contradiction to the Word of the Lord he will cause an image to be constructed after the likeness of the antichrist. It goes without saying, that replicas of the image, of all sorts will be made and will be worn and displayed throughout the world. Are we looking at a clone of the beast? The image has life given to it, by the false prophet. The image will have the ability to speak. It will also be capable of manifesting an ungodly, wicked thought pattern and judgment, for the image will cause those who do not worship the image of the beast, to be killed. Rev. 13:15 How far will the Lord permit man to go in his quest to create life? This living, breathing, thinking image of the antichrist is to be most life like and will be the very apex of mans ability to imitate the works of the Lord. To simplify the commerce of the world an identifying mark will be developed and placed in the forehead or the right hand of every individual in the world. How much easier to have one mark other than the many cards we carry today. Rev. 13:16 Be warned that to receive this mark is to assure one of the mighty judgments of the Lord. There is no salvation for anyone whose hand or forehead is tattooed with the number, name or mark of the antichrist. Yet without it one cannot buy or sell. Rev. 13:17 Christians will have to make a decision to accept or reject this mark. They are seen standing on the sea of glass before the throne and had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. Rev. 15:2 Also these martyrs are depicted as “not having worshipped the beast or his image and had not received his mark.” Choosing death, beheaded for Christ than to be contaminated by the political and commercial system set up for the tribulation.
