THE DEITY OF CHRIST

THE EQUALITY OF THE SON WITH THE FATHER. Power, control, leadership, dominance in any power structure established by man is always a source of trouble. Not so, with the Lord. There is full and complete agreement and sharing together in the Godhead. It is very evident from the scriptures that the Father is dominant. As a Father He bears full and absolute authority, but He does not place the Son in an inferior position. The Word proclaims the precise unanimity of the Son with the Father. Eternally, there is no separation nor disagreement. The Father has committed all power in two spheres Heaven and earth, that which is forever and that which is temporal, all is in the control of the Son. Mt. 28:18 Again it is stated that, all things have been delivered to Jesus of His Father. That speaks of perfect trust and confidence. Mt. 11:27 Because of the tremendous adherence of the love that is the very essence of God this is made possible. John 3:35 The nature of the love of the Lord in its ultimate measure far exceeds the capability of man to conceive it. Only when we are one with Him will we know and understand the magnitude and the emotion of His great love.

KNOWLEDGE OF THE FATHER AND THE SON COME BY REVELATION. The Father and the Son are in complete compliance with each other. Their thoughts, their motivations are identical. Never, ever, has there been nor could there be any inequalities in thought or purpose. Quite contrary to humans, we even argue with ourselves, let alone someone else. The Father and the Son are in full comprehension of the thoughts and will of each other. They thoroughly know each other. No man may know either the Father or the Son except a revelation be given by the Son. Mt. 11:27 The fact that Jesus was able to truthfully say that the Father and He were one demonstrated the bond that is in existence. This is perfect union. This common sharing of being and essence is borne out in the meaning of the word one, which indicates a joining together. John 10:30 Jesus continued to stress this relationship by reporting that He was in the Father and the Father was in Him. John 14:10 That such a relationship could exist should be no wonder to those who are born of the Spirit and especially filled with the Spirit. The capacity of the person who has been brought to life in Christ Jesus is astonishingly limitless. To be able to receive the Spirit of the Father and of the Son in the person of the Holy Spirit is marvelous beyond words. John, the Baptist came baptizing with water and he declared that the one to come would baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire. The Spirit makes Christ real. He sows the seed the Word whereby we are born of that incorruptible seed. The Father is the one who draws men unto Christ. John 6:44 Salvation is a work which involves the completeness of the Godhead working to produce a new creature. A Spiritual man. One whose interest is in things Spiritual and eternal. The benefits of such an experience are glorious in this life and without a cessation of marvelous and wonderful eternal benefits in heaven.
