THE DEITY OF CHRIST

CHRIST THE TREASURE HOUSE OF THE WISDOM OF GOD. He is the revelation of the mystery of God. For in Him are concealed all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Complete comprehension and understanding of all that the Lord is and of all that He has created is to be achieved by the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord Jesus. Col. 2:3 The Lord not only possess wisdom, He is very wisdom. A wisdom and comprehension which knows no end and cannot be exhausted. The beauty of all this is that He will constantly be manifesting His manifold wisdom to His church. Eph. 3:10 The Lord is desirous to bestow on His people the spirit of wisdom and knowledge that all that Christ is might be revealed to His church. Eph. 1:17 He wants us to know Him is the greatest way possible, coming to a full and complete knowledge of Him. To those who feel they lack in His wisdom, He has promised to give wisdom in a generous fashion and to all who will request the same of Him. James 1:5 Christ Jesus is the wisdom and the power of the Lord. 1 Cor. 1:24

THE ETERNITY OF WISDOM. Certainly the prized possession of the Lord from eternity, prior to its manifestation in the creation of the universe, and all it contains. Prov. 8:22 Human wisdom has built the machinery and electronics which we enjoy in this modern life. None of them just happened. Men of vision and understanding invented and manufactured them. We recognize that behind every modern convenience there is a person of intelligence. But when it comes to the universe, it just happened? Surely man in His wisdom knew not God. 1 Cor. 1:21 Wisdom worked together as a unit, as a master craftsman of equal understanding and capability. One who delighted in the Father day after day. Prov. 8:30

HIS BEING AND NATURE, GOD. In essence He was one with the Father. He too possessed the Divine attributes that make God to be God. His equality with His Father did not hinder Him from making the necessary sacrifices that He might become the savior and Lord of a people who would serve Him with their whole hearts. Phil. 2:6 Jesus Himself declared His Lordship when He stated that, before Abraham was, I AM. The preexistent one, always existing, possessing life eternal that is dependent on no one nor anything. He is very life itself. There is no other force or being of whom that may be said. John 8:58 He is the beginning and the conclusion of everything that pertains to life, natural and spiritual. He is the source. He is the author of life everlasting. He is the all in all of salvation. He is the door. He is the resurrection and the life. From the Lamb of God to coming Savior all is dependent on Him. He is the beginning and the ending and all that is between. Of Him and of Him alone it may be said that He is indispensable to all who would enjoy living forever. He is life and in Him we find life. He is the Almighty, sharing forever with the Father, in full and absolute unity. Each complementing the other as together the plan of salvation has been made known. Rev. 1:8.
