BABYLON, THE GREAT. The woman, Babylon of Revelation seventeen is a complete entity. She is religious to the core. Displaying and propagating all beliefs which are pleasing and popular with humanity. She is political and is courted by the politicians of her day, until she displeases them. Then the very ones who have supported her and exalted her will destroy her. Her complete destruction is assured. Rev. 17:16 She is attractive, a being of great beauty and much to be desired. She is great in membership. Extremely popular with the people of the world. Her doctrine of gain is godliness, is well received and practiced. But they do not hear the Word of the Lord saying, from such withdraw thyself. 1 Tim. 6:5 Contrariwise, godliness with contentment is great gain. v.6 To oppose her is an invitation of certain martyrdom. Note, she is drunk with the blood of saints and of those who give testimony of the Lord Jesus. Thus, we see into the heart of this false church. She has the spirit of murder, the spirit of satan, a spirit of anger against all opposition. She is wealthy beyond imagination. Finances will flow through her coffers like a mighty river. She is everything that appeals to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. 1 John 2:16 She is the worldly, carnal, religious Babylon, THE GREAT.
SHE IS A MOTHER. How interesting, she is the impersonation of the true church and Bride of Christ, who in Revelation twelve becomes a mother and gives birth to the manchild. This false church is responsible for all manner of corruption and sin to be practiced by the false church. Not only will she practice idolatry but every sexual perversion known to man, will be accepted, practiced and be found rampant in her. While there is mercy and forgiveness extended today to those who are involved in this manner of sin, there is no forgiveness for the members of that false church. Their doom has been sealed by their satanic acts of worship, and their involvement with the antichrist. They will have fully involved themselves in the sin and iniquity recorded in Romans 1:21-32 This woman is aligned and unified with the beast. Her term of power and great glory is during the great tribulation. If all the saints are raptured at the beginning of the tribulation, who are these whom she persecutes and murders? It is positively evident that there are some Christians who enter the great tribulation. She will become drunken on the blood with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. Rev. 17:6 The beast who is the antichrist will make war with saints and to conquer or kill them. Rev. 13:7 Heaven, the saints, apostles and prophets of that day as well as those of the past will all rejoice over the destruction of the capitol city of the antichrist and his bride, the false church. Rev. 18:20 It is very evident from the Scriptures that not all saints are delivered from the great tribulation. Some very definitely will escape. They are those who have made themselves ready. They have spiritually reached the high standards of the Bride of Christ. Get ready!
