AN ANGRY LAMB. It seems entirely out of context to find a Lamb that is filed with wrath, but such is the case. Rev. 6:16 The conditions which provoke this fury are those which depict the world in absolute ungodliness, rampant sin and unrighteousness prevailing. A generation of people who are completely without restraint of any kind. Totally sold out to the devil and doing his will. This event is scheduled for enactment at the close of the tribulation period. It is the scheduled Second Coming of Christ. The second coming of Christ is not a nonchalant episode in the history of this earth. It will be the catastrophe of the ages. It is the moment of His revelation. 1 Cor. 1:7 The day of His revelation is seen as having the same effect as the day of the judgment on Sodom. A revelation is not something which is accomplished in secret but is a happening that is open for all to see. Luke 17:29 Not only will the living see this glorious occurrence but all who have ever lived will see it. Every eye, even those who were at the cross and partook in His crucifixion will see His coming. Rev. 1:7
EVENTS TRANSPIRING AT THE REVELATION OF HIS WRATH. The ungodly, the wicked, the unrighteous will seek themselves a spider hole in which they think they will be able to escape the frightening wrath of the lamb. It is the great day of the revelation of His wrath and none will be able to hide or withstand that day. They will seek for the mountains and the rocks where they have dug their holes to fall and crush them. Better this avenue of death than to face an angry Lamb. No individual, regardless of their status in life will be able to escape from the happenings of that day. It is scheduled and marked on the calendar of the Lord. Rev. 6:15-17 The horrific judgments of the Lord will not only have their results on this earth but will be manifest in the whole of the universe. The earth will quake. Not just a localized earthquake but one involving the whole of the earth at one and the same moment. Such violent shaking could well cause the whole of the earth to become like one big ball of mush. Note that every mountain and every island will be moved out of their current geographical position. Rev. 6:14, 16:20 The completeness of the destruction is also depicted in Jer. 4:24-26 The signs wrought in space are events which coincide with the return of the Christ of God. The sun to be darkened, not an eclipse but a total turn off at the hands of the Lord. The moon covered with blood, reminding the world of its rejection of the atonement of the Lord Jesus. The earth to be blasted by meteorites, [just one star would completely destroy and burn up the earth, therefore this has to be a great shower of meteorites]. Rev. 6:12-13 The rolling back of the heavens will completely release the atmosphere of the earth which is so vital in sustaining life on the earth. Rev. 6:14 The exhibition of the wrath of the Lamb will terminate all natural life on our planet. It is an absolute impossibility for any sinner to find his way past this great judgment into the millennial period, therefore sinners will not be in the Kingdom age, only the redeemed.
