BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD. The eternal, the everlasting Logos, the Word, greatly loved of the Father from before the foundation of the world. Showing both, the perpetual existence of the Word and the true emotion of perfect love which the Father had for that living Word, in eternity past. John 17:24 Jesus also prayed for that moment when the glory of the Father, which had been His, before the existence of the world might be returned to Him. Glorify thou me with thine own self. John 17:5 Having had to lay aside the exceeding great glory, the fullness of glory, of the Father would have been an immense sacrifice. The eternal being who is known as the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is also recognized as the Father of glory Eph. 1:17 The essence and excellence of His glory exceeds the thoughts and imaginations of men. It is a beauty and majesty which far surpasses the ability of man to comprehend with the natural mind. What ever conception one may have of the revelations of the glory of the Lord such as Ezekiel saw [Eze. 1:4] gives an insight into the extent of that glory. Jesus is seeking to once again be enshrouded and filled to the fullness with that spectacular glory. It was the self, the very person of the Father which He was seeking to be restored to Him again. God is a Spirit. John 4:24 His nature, His essence is Spirit. Therefore He would return, in His glory and fully clothe and fill His Son with Himself and with His glory. The Logos, the Word had been bathed in the glory of the Father in the eternity past and is now seeking a full and complete restoration of that marvelous glory.

THE GLORY OF THE SON. For all that He had possessed of Hid Fathers glory and all that was to be returned unto Him, there was still a great manifestation of the glory of His Father in His life and ministry. Jesus is proclaimed to be the brightness of His glory, that is the glory of the Father. He is the outraying, the shining forth, the effulgence of the glory of the Father. We are given a glimpse of that glory on the Mount of Transfiguration where, His face did shine as the sun and His raiment was as white as the light. Mt. 17:2 And, “His raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow. Mk. 9:2 If the glory of the Lord was manifest in such glorious fashion here, what is the magnitude of that which was to be returned to Him? We need to remember here that He had been filled with the Holy Spirit. That would account for the glory which was manifest here. It should also become an incentive for His church to seek a similar portion of the infilling of the Spirit. Jesus is the depository for all the magnificent splendor of the Lord. The alliance and harmony of the Godhead is infinite. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit blending together in full unity. Complementing and supporting one another in perfect love. The atmosphere of the glory of the Lord will fill all of heaven. It will be the life source of all the occupants of that great and glorious place and city, for eternity.
