CALLED

Rev.C.J McKnight

You have an appointment with the living God. He loves you and has called you unto Himself. He has designated you to be a saint.” Rom.1:7. The word saint (hagios) comes from the word (hagos – an awesome thing ). To be a true saint of the Lord is a high and glorious calling. The Lord is making a people out of the people who were not His people. They are called the children of the living God. Rom. 9:26. We are called into a very special fellowship of communion and communication with Jesus Christ. What a joy and privilege to know that we are included among the beloved.

A DISTINCT AND ELITE ASSEMBLAGE.

THEY ARE SERVANTS OF THE LORD. Serving Him in a very special capacity. They have been singled out for a ministry that others will not be able to perform. Rev. 7:3 As servants, they will be in close proximity, at all times, to their Lord and Master. One who would serve their master must be in His presence willing to follow Him wherever He goes. They who serve the Lord in this fashion will be greatly honored of the Father. John 12:26 The servants of the Lord must have been set free from sin in order to properly serve the Lord. Their fruit is that of holiness and their ultimate is eternal life with the Lord. Rom. 6:22 These who are chosen to fulfill the plan of the Lord will be the possessors of the righteousness and holiness of the Almighty, the servant will be identical to his master. Their protection and deliverance is assured. They are indeed < untouchable >. Isa. 54:17

EZEKIEL

Ezekiel is one of those to whom was given a prophetic name at the time of his birth. Having reached the age of priesthood, that is thirty years of age, He is called to the ministry of a prophet. Seeing that he was in captivity in Babylon, there was no temple or house of worship in which he could minister as a priest. His name indicated, that inasmuch as they were in servitude, the Lord was their only source of strength. Ezekiel means, God will strengthen, or God will prevail. Not only was he to prophesy under difficult conditions, he would be speaking to a rebellious people and nation, Israel. Eze. 2:3-5 The concluding statement of the third verse is certainly most prophetic and indeed is still in effect, even to the present time.

THE SON OF MAN

Rev.CJ McKNight

Sept.17, 2008.

1.
WHO IS THIS SON OF MAN? Jesus standing in the midst of a crowd which seemed to be questioning the validity of His claims in relationship to
the one who would be the Christ of God. It is interesting to note that the crowd spoke up. They were unified in their approach to Him. John 12:34 Jesus had given them a word of prophecy and glimpse into the future by indicating the kind of death He would die. John 12:32-33

JONAH

Rev.C.J McKnight

1.Dec.10, 2007.

INTRODUCTION. Jonah, meaning dove or pigeon. Old Testament names were often expressive of the nature of the person so named. He prophesied in the days of Jeroboam II. 2 Kings 14:25 The son of Amittai, meaning the truth of Jehovah. He originated from Gath-hepher, meaning, the wine press of the two wells, or the double portion. The double portion is indicative of revival, and Jonah most certainly was involved in one. There are two great experiences recorded in the book concerning his life and ministry. The Three day and three nights spent in the belly of the great fish and the repentance of a city. Both of which, are miraculous.

ESTHER

In the days of Ahasuerus, the venerable king, the great. Esther 1:1 A title given to a Persian ruler who could have been Xerxes I or II. Historians are divided as to the exact identity of this man. Daniel is linked to Darius, the son of Ahasuerus. Dan. 9:1 The prophets Ezra, Haggai and Zechariah were active in the days in the days of Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes the kings of Persia. Ezra 6:14 Nehemiah was also one who stood before a king called Artaxerxes. Neh. 2:1 Darius, at the age of sixty two was used to fulfill the prophetic utterances and revelations pertaining to the fall of Babylon.

THE LORD IS LOVE

Rev.C.J McKnight

December 01, 2008.

  1. LOVE. His nature, His being, His purpose, everything about Him is a direct display of His almighty love for human kind. It is a component of His emotions which are of the greatest benefit to mankind. His is a love, which is unequaled by any other in time or eternity, on earth or heaven. It is unique in its character. Its depths and intensity may not be measured in common, earthly terms. As with all things, He is the source, the fountainhead of Agape love. The highest form of love, for it is love as only He can love. 1 John 4:16

HOSEA

Rev.Clyde Joe McKnight
Seattle

1.
Hosea, means salvation or deliverer. His name was also shared by others in the Bible and should not be confused with them. A name that was fitting to his calling as a prophet. While he ministered mainly to Israel (The ten tribes) he was also called upon to prophesy to Judah. We know that he was a contemporary of Isaiah 1:10, Micah 1:1 and of Amos 1:1. It is noteworthy that his inspiration came from the word of the LORD, as it did with many of the prophets. This statement is frequently recorded in the introduction of their prophecies. Hosea 1:1.
