Inasmuch as the feast of Passover and the feast of Pentecost both were fulfilled in the church age. The remaining feast will take place exactly according to the day and time of its celebration by the Israelites. We then know that the feast of Tabernacles will have its fulfillment in the church on the day of the feast of Tabernacles. The priestly ministry of the church will be like to that entering in of the high priest before the mercy seat. It was a day of cleansing, of purification and of the awesome presence of the glory of the Lord. It is that which is to be found “within the veil.” Heb.6:19 It is the secret place of the most High, where His shadow envelopes and overshadows. Ps. 91:1 It is the response to the prayer of the Lord Jesus that He might dwell in His fullness in His people. John 17:23 That is to be without measure, the finished work, and will have met all the Divine requirements.
The objective of the Son of Man was not only to seek and save that which was lost but in the plan of salvation, He has a grand purpose. A glorious final work of having reproduced Himself in the hearts and lives of a people who truly love Him and greatly desire to do His bidding. The Lord is faithful in continuing to work in His church, until that moment of time is reached where He will lead His people into the full status of the feast of Tabernacles. The responsibility of the fivefold ministry is tremendous for they are to lead His church into His goals which are specifically spelled out in Ephesians four. Many claim these offices today but where is the proof of their duties and the development and spiritual growth of the church? Paul said that the results of the fivefold ministry would be a people who are to reach the perfections, thoroughly furnished, as found in the Lord Jesus.
All are to have the same beliefs, or doctrine. They are to be in complete unanimity one with another. “Can two walk together except they be agreed.” Amos 3:3 Among other things, Paul said that there is one body. Eph. 4:4 All the parts of that body must be in total agreement with every other member of the body or there will be an inability to function properly. Jesus promised a teacher, the very best, in the person of the Holy Spirit. If we would listen to Him we would all speak the same thing. He will not teach doctrines of confusion but will speak the truth. John 16:13-14 The true church, the perfect church, the Bride of Christ will be a true, well functioning body of those who have the faith or the persuasion, the teaching of the Word through the anointing of the Spirit. The Lord will accomplish His purposes.
