THE HORSE OF BLOOD. Time for the second seal to be opened. The horse is identified as <fiery red>, fire like or flame colored. The flames of fire and exploding shells. NIV. Rev. 6:3 This is the seal of combat and deep rooted hostilities. In nineteen fourteen what is known as World War one involved all of Europe and eventually the USA. This was, supposedly a war to end all wars. This could give us a period of fourteen years between the opening of the seals. The spirit of division, separation and enmity loosed on the earth. Can any doubt that we are living in the throes of a wild beast that has been loosed on the earth. Rather than trying to list the nations where there is war, or the threat of war and revolutions, or insurrection, rebellion, revolution and bloodshed of every description it would be easier to make a list of where this is not happening. How very, very short it would be. We live in an angry world. It manifests itself in the home, on the highways, in the schools, on the job and where ever man is found. The spirit of today is kill, murder, assassinate just as long as blood is shed. Rev. 6:4
POWER TO REMOVE PEACE FROM THE EARTH. After the first world war the League of Nations was established to keep peace among he nations. It failed. After World War Two, the United Nations came into existence. Judge for yourself how successful that has been. Rev. 6:4 This is the age of which Jesus was speaking when He spoke of wars and the constant rumor of war. Saber rattling is a constant sound in our world. Only now it is the rocket and nuclear threat. <Be not troubled>. Mt. 24:6 But the end is not yet, there are still events that have to transpire before the second Coming of Christ. Christians will learn to live by the power and peace of the Lord in these last days. Jesus gave the assurance of peace. John 14:27
THEY SHALL KILL ONE ANOTHER. If our hope is in the things of this world then the outlook is bleak. There is no hope for a change. The seal is opened and its effect and power will continue in increasing volume. Peace has been snatched from the grasp of men. Their best efforts end in failure. What an awesome statement; <he is given a great sword>. Super powerful in every way. A mighty weapon that has already resulted in the slaying of millions in our generation. Jesus said that these events are the beginning of sorrows. Mt. 24:8 In spite of the dismal outlook presented by the opening of this seal and the knowledge that it will not get better as time passes. We are exhorted to lift up our heads and realize that our redemption is close at hand. Lk. 21:28 The greater the darkness of this world becomes the brighter will the light of the path of the just become, consummating in the great manifestation of light in that day of perfection. Prov. 4:18 The woman of Revelation twelve will be clothed and surrounded by the fullness of the living God, who is light.
