FEARSOME AND AWESOME EVENTS SCHEDULED. Horrendous catastrophes will take place under an opened sixth seal. The seals, when opened do not require an instant fulfillment of all that will happen. They will cover a period or season of time. Just to experience the first event mentioned under the opening of the sixth seal will be fearsome, there will be more to follow. Rev. 6:12 This will be a big and unusual earthquake but there are more to follow. Jesus used earthquakes as one of the signs of His Second Coming. They will take place all over the earth. These earthquakes will not be confined to areas of the earth that are earthquake prone but will happen in areas that have not had an earthquake. Mt. 24:7 Reading the occurrences of this seal we can understand why such extreme, heart rendering fear will grip the inhabitants of the earth, under such terrible consequences. Lk. 21:26 Earthquakes of great strength will announce certain vital incidents throughout the tribulation period. The introduction of the seven angels with the seven trumpets, {the seventh is the Last Trumpet}, will be accompanied by one of those massive earthquakes. Rev. 8:5 The annunciation of the kingdoms of this world becoming the kingdoms of our Lord Jesus Christ at the sounding of the Last Trumpet, Rev. 11:15 will again bring to pass the phenomena of a world shaking earthquake. Rev. 11:19 At the ascension of the two witnesses, Moses and Elijah there is once again an exceedingly great earthquake. Rev. 11:13 Then at the very climax of the tribulation when the seventh and last vial of judgment is poured out on the earth the greatest of all earthquakes will take place. Rev. 16:18 This one will completely alter the topography of the earth. No one will be able to identify any continent, country or city after this earth destroying, devastating earthquake. Rev. 16:20 Consider how utterly impossible it is for any sinner to live through this and find his way into the Millennial Age. If the quake does not bring utter destruction, what accompanies it will. Great blocks of ice falling from the sky, at one and the same time, as the earthquake, weighing someone hundred twenty-five pounds. What a smashing time that will be. Rev. 16:21 It is here that the inhabitants of the earth seek out their shelters that they might hide themselves from the face of the occupant of the throne and from the wrath of the LAMB. They will cry out for their shelters to fall in upon them, preferring death to having to face the judge of the whole earth. Rev. 6:15-16 What exactly do the inhabitants of the earth face at this time? Jesus is coming in flaming fire seeking vengeance on the ungodly. Punishing them with everlasting punishment while they are shut out {NIV} from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of His kingdom and power. 2 Thess. 1:7-9 There is absolutely no way for sinners to escape all the fore going and in any way take up residence in the Kingdom of our Lord here on earth. There will be no sin, sickness or death during the Thousand years of the Kingdom on earth. Satan will be incarcerated. Sinners will not exist, nor could they, nor would they want to be in that glorious Kingdom
EVENTS THAT PRECEDE THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST. There will be a series of events transpiring during the tribulation period which will warn of the impending moment of the Coming of Christ. Because the Lord is a God of mercy, He will first send a mighty out pouring of His Spirit upon the peoples of the earth. While we have seen the Spirit of Revival in the earth for scores of years, the climax in a tremendous move of the Holy Ghost is yet to come. This has to be the next wonder on the calendar of God. These most assuredly are the last days. The Lord will fulfill His promises. If ever there was a generation that needed a revival, it is this one. The Lord always visits with mercy prior to judgment. Acts 2: 17-18
