UNKNOWN, NEGLECTED, IGNORED OR SCORNED? What is the attitude of the church toward the formula of water baptism spelled out for us in the Word? The command is to GO, BAPTISE, in the NAME of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Mt. 28:19 This poses a question where we must ask, what is the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. All of us have and most of us are Fathers, but that is not a personal or a legal name. All males are Sons. All have Spirits. Would any deny the right for God to be identified by His name? His name sets Him apart from all others who may be called god. All that we do in word or deed is to be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, while giving thanks to the Father. Col. 3:17
LEARN THE VALUE OF HIS NAME. His presence is assured, even when the gathering is small, as long as it is done in His name. Mt. 18:20 When prayer is made for the healing of the sick, the casting out of devils, a miracle, or divine intervention and protection, it must be done by the mentioning and invocation of His NAME. Mark 16:17-18 When special prayer is made for the sick and they are anointed with oil it must be in the name of the Lord. James 5:14 Could this be a reason for unanswered prayers? Do the work of building the building according to the pattern. WHATSOEVER, ye ask in MY NAME, what a debit card that is. Absolutely unlimited. Pray, request, speak boldly in His Name. It works! John 14:13-14 The teacher, the Comforter, the Holy Ghost commissioned of the Father, and sent in His Name. If you are desirous of being filled with the Holy Spirit, ask the Lord Jesus in His Name to fill you and He will, wherever you might be. You need not wait until you are in church or have someone else pray for you. Ask in His Name. The Name of the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit have been instrumental in the cleansing and sanctification of those who belong to Christ. Justification is in His Name. 1 Cor. 6:11Christ is the exalted one. He is above all principalities and powers that currently are in the world and in the world to come. The Father has also given Him a name that is above every name that has ever been named amongst mankind.
