THE FIRST SEAL. The Lamb is the one who has the authority to open them. The Lion of Judah, the root of David has prevailed and has triumphed winning the ability to open them. Rev.5:1 It would appear that there would be opposition to their being instituted. Understandably so for they will bring this age to its conclusion. John heard that voice of thunder, these are seals of power and intensity in their completion. Rev. 6:1
WHITE. The color of purity. It is taken from the Greek word, leukos or light. There is no more beautiful example in scripture than that of the Lord Jesus as He stood on the Mt of Transfiguration. Here, He was transfigured before them. The true God/man seen, with the divine nature of the Almighty shining through and from within His body. His face shining bright and clear like the sun. His clothing becoming white as the light. Mt. 17:2 Shining EXCEEDING WHITE AS SNOW. Dazzling white. NIV. A purity that exceeds the ability of any bleach on earth to whiten. Mk. 9:3 While He was praying the appearance of His countenance was altered. His raiment, glistering, as bright as a flash of lightning. NIV. Luke 9:29 That is extremely exciting for it gives us a glimpse of Christ in His glory.
