IN SIGHT LIKE UNTO AN EMERALD. Rev.4:3 The gem that is colored green. Green is the color of life. Green is the combination of yellow and blue. The Father and the Spirit brought forth He who is life personified. Paul said; in Him we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:28 All natural and spiritual life depends on the Lord Jesus. In Him was life and that life was the light of men. John 1:4 Just look at the green foliage all around us. It is the color most pleasant to the eye. The Lord leads us into green pastures where we find rest and sustenance. Ps.23:2 The Shulamite refers to their bed as being green, productive or fruitful. Song. 1:16 The name, a green olive tree, used in reference to the people of God. Jer. 11:16a The olive tree represents the anointing oil, a tree that bore fruit that was beautiful and goodly. The green leaves of the tree show to us the blessedness of the man who trusts in God. His supply of water is ample regardless of conditions. He continually yields fruit. Jer. 17:8 Jesus sat them down on green grass, to feed them. Green connotes ample supply. He divided them into fifties, the number of Pentecost, and in groups of one hundreds or a double portion. Mk. 6:39-40 In a day of great destruction there is deliverance for every green thing. Those having life eternal, the seal of the Holy Spirit of God will not take the mark of the beast and are delivered. Rev. 9:4 If the church is raptured in Rev.4:1 who in the world are these Christians? The answer is that Rev.4:1 is not the rapture of the church.
The emerald is the fourth stone mentioned in the breastplate of the high priest. Ex:28:18 This was the stone for Judah, Judah means praise or celebrated. The prophecy of Jacob concerning Judah was that the nature and spirit of a lion would be upon him. Gen. 49:9-10Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Judah was to be the one who maintained the Law until Shiloh come, or the man of peace the Lord Jesus. Four is the number of the earth, four quarters, four winds, four seasons, etc. Life everlasting is offered to the inhabitants of this earth only. There is no redemption for the fallen angels. This was also the eighth precious stone that was worn by Lucifer. Eze. 28:13 The number eight is the number of resurrection. Lucifer was perfect until rebellion was found in him. Eze. 28:15 The rank and privileges afforded him continue to amaze me. He followed so closely the trait and character found in the Lord Jesus. The significant difference being, Lucifer was created, and not born a son. Ye must be born again. How fitting, the fourth stone of the New Jerusalem is the Emerald. Rev. 21:19 The City, built of earthlings who have been born into the kingdom of God. The Lord builds for eternity. Jesus said in the volume of the book it is written of me. We find Him, not only prominently displayed but also hidden in every nook and cranny of the WORD of God. The Father is well pleased with Him, and so is everyone else who knows Him as Savior.
