THE BOOK OF REVELATION

THE THRONE OF GOD IS SHAREDRev. 3:21 Firstly, we note that this is the throne of the FATHER and that Jesus has been invited to sit down with His Father on that throne. Secondly, it is the throne of the Son for he called it my throne. If the Father and the Son share a throne, each calling it His throne, then we should have no trouble accepting that fact. Thirdly, the victorious overcomer is extended the privilege of having a part in occupying the throne of God. Queens sit with their Kings on their thrones. Surely this is the Bride of Christ in her exalted eternal place in the kingdom of God.

JOHN, IN THE SPIRIT, SAW THE THRONE. Rev. 4:2 The secret to seeing things that are spiritual is to be in the Spirit. It was a heavenly throne that was set or established. There was one occupant on that throne. This is something that we will continue to see as we look at the throne as revealed in the Revelation. Is God one? Of course He is. Paul wrote in First Corinthians eight, six. There is but one God, the Father of whom are all things, and we in Him. One Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things and we in him. There is only ONE GOD and that God is a Triunity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The unity of the Godhead is absolute. The Godhead is the very essence of the word unity. When we look at the throne we are seeing what Jesus said in John.14:10 I am in the Father, and the Father is in me. Perfect unison and harmony.

Why did John see only one on the throne? There is only one PHYSICAL body found in the Godhead and that is the body of the Lord Jesus. A body thou hast prepared me. Heb.10:5 Please note we are considering a PHYSICAL body, a resurrected, glorified body. A body that is eternal. If you were the Father wouldn’t you want to put your perfect son on display? Wherefore God has highly exalted Him. Phil.2:9 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. Isa. 52:13 The very center, the very core of the kingdom of God is the Lord Jesus. The Father is pleased when we exalt and worship the Lord Jesus. The LAMB is the heart beat of heaven. He is located in the midst of the throne. Rev.5:6 Will we see the Father? Of course, Jesus said no man has seen the Father but me. The substance of the Father is not natural but SPIRITUAL. The Father does not have a PHYSICAL body. The SPIRITUAL is more real than the natural. What ever His essence is, He has been eternally in that form. The Father is existence personified.
