THE APPERANCE OF THE OCCUPANT OF THE THRONE. Like a Jasper stone. Rev. 4:3 The jasper stone was the last stone in the breastplate of the high priest. Ex. 39:13 Representing the tribe of Benjamin. Who is a type of the Lord Jesus. Showing that in the eyes of the people of Israel, the Lord, would be placed last and was to be discounted. The appearance of the New Jerusalem is spoken of as a Jasper stone. It is called a stone most precious, of great value, honored, esteemed or beloved. All these terms fit the Bride of Christ, which is the New Jerusalem. She is also glowing with the glory of the Lord. She is as clear as crystal. She is transparent, clear, nothing hidden. She is pure and clean. Sparkling as crystal, reflecting the glory of God from within her. Rev. 21:11 The first foundation of the City is Jasper. The rejected stone becomes the chief corner stone. Rev. 21:19 The wall surrounding the city is to be of Jasper stone. What can we say, Christ is ALL and in ALL. We are built upon Christ. We are clothed with Christ. We are filled with Christ. Glorious and wonderful savior.
THE SARDINE STONE. Unique to this place in the whole of the Bible. It was said to have been a brilliant red stone. How fitting that this stone should be spoken of and found only here. Red always reminds us of the blood of atonement . Gods throne is the mercy seat and the seal of His covenant is evidenced upon it.
THERE WAS A RAINBOW AROUND AND ABOUT THE THRONE. Completely circling the throne is a full rainbow. An entire rainbow of this fashion can sometimes be observed when flying in airplanes. The rainbow is the promise of the covenant that the Lord made to never destroy the earth again by flood. It is a sign speaking of well being and peace. Ezekiel, saw the glory of the Lord and said; that there was a brilliancy, a radiance glowing out from the being that he beheld, he saw the throne. Eze. 1:28 The mighty angel, certainly the Lord Jesus, who proclaims the end of time is clothed with a cloud and crowned with a rainbow. Rev. 10:1 The Lord said that He would set His bow in the cloud. Gen. 9:13 Jesus is coming a second time in clouds. The rainbow is in the clouds. when you looks at the rainbow remember Jesus is coming. In making a covenant, the Lord always involved Himself. In the rainbow we see the three primary colors. Yellow, the Father. Red, the Son. Blue, the Holy Spirit. Our world, seen from space is blue the Spirit of God still broods over this earth. Woe to this earth when the Spirit is removed and He will be soon, to allow the antichristal kingdom to be set up, where the antichrist will rule on the earth for three and one half years. There never has been, nor will there ever be another kingdom like his. That will be one miserable time! The judgment of God will be upon it, full bore.
