THE LAMB AND HIS COMPANIONS. Rev. 14:1 These are all members of the body of Christ. They have His name, {found in almost all versions of the Bible}, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Fathers name written upon their foreheads. This signifies that they are the possession of the one whose name they bear. It is prominently displayed and that very willingly for they have received and honored His name. Phil. 2:9-11 It is a name bestowed upon Him by His Father. That alone, would show the worthiness of that name. It is a name to which every knee shall bow, none excluded, not even those in hell. EVERY TONGUE will confess that Jesus Christ Is Lord. Much more profitable to do it now than to wait for this moment of time. There must be great value in that name, if the Father is glorified at the confessing of that name as being the LORD JESUS CHRIST. They proudly bear and display HIS NAME.
THOSE WHO WERE SEALED IN THIS FASHION. Rev. 7:4-8 They were from ALL THE TRIBES OF ISRAEL, not just Judah, Benjamin and Levi. These are the three tribes that remained in Jerusalem when the ten tribes separated from them and became known as Israel or Samaria. Thus this assembly are not all Jews, but must come from all twelve tribes. The ten tribes, Israel or Samaria are considered as lost tribes. Certainly, of the nations of the world, some are the descendants of these ten tribes. The Lord knows who and where they are. If it is necessary that this group be of the progeny of all twelve tribes, the Lord will find them.
THE ONE HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND ARE A SPIRITUAL ENTITY. They are involved in this company not because they are descendants of Abraham after the flesh but after the Spirit. ALL of these must have reached the highest level of Spiritual maturity. There cannot be one iota of the life of the flesh in them. They are perfect, holy, pure, sanctified and made to be like the Most High. The WORD of God has been completely effectual in them, they have His nature and character. Eph. 2:10-13 Since the church is the workmanship of the Lord and has been created by and for Him. It most certainly is of the commonwealth of Israel. All are now citizens of the Kingdom of God. Having been afforded that privilege by redemption through the blood of Jesus. As such they are candidates for this number. Col. 3:10-11 The new man, the Spiritual man, is now created according to the image of their creator. They are made to be in His exact likeness. No Longer do we have Jew and Greek or any other division in the body of Christ. All must become one as they are united to Him. It is from this Spiritual body that the one hundred forty-four thousand will be chosen and separated unto the Lord Jesus. They are not chosen because of race but it is the grace of God that provides us with salvation.They are very special to the Lord.
