CONSIDER THE LILIES. Take time to discover the increase and advancement of the lilies. They neither labor nor spin, yet, their beauty far surpasses the royal clothing worn be Solomon. The fullness of the glory and the splendor of the Almighty is reserved for His bride. Lk. 12:27 Lilies were part of the decoration of the brazen laver in Solomon’s temple. It is of interest because the laver held two thousand baths. Representing the two thousand years of the Gospel dispensation. 1Ki. 7:26 It is also said that is held three thousand baths. 2 Chr. 4:5 The three thousand baths represent the Sabbath of one thousand years, or the millennium. This is one of the so called discrepancies of the Bible that is pointed out by atheist. There is no conflict or mistake with these two different numbers. The difference is that with the two thousand baths the laver was two-thirds full. When filled to the full it held three thousand baths. The full laver represents the time, the millennium, when the glory of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters now cover the sea. Hab. 2:14
