PSALM FORTY-FIVE

THE ARROWS OF THE LORD. His arrows are only used against those who are the declared enemies of the Lord or His people. His arrow will go forth as the LIGHTNING. Zech. 9:14 Lightning is an interesting fact of life on this globe. It occurs somewhere on earth someone hundred times per second. It travels at the speed of light, that is one hundred eighty-six thousand mile per second. Its strength is one million volts. Its path is heated up to sixty-four thousand degrees F, or thirty-three thousand degrees C. Rather a formidable weapon. When the Lord gave the Law to Moses, on the mountain there was a great manifestation of lightning, amongst other signs. Ex. 19:16 This was a supernatural demonstration of the glorious presence of the Lord. It is obvious that there was one gigantic storm when the Lord joined in battle with the children of Israel against the five kings of the Amorites by sending great hailstones upon the Amorites. These hailstones would have been produced by an immense tempest accompanied by thunder and lightening. Josh. 10:11 David, in giving praise and thanks to the Lord for victory over his enemies mentioned a supernatural help from the Lord. <Coals of fire or bolts of lightning {NIV}, the arrows of the Lord scattering and discomforting his enemies>. Ps. 22: 13-15

In Zech 9:14 the reference is to an arrow, singular, the arrow of the Lord. There is an arrow, there is a lightning that is from the very throne of the Lord. Daniel saw the Lord and the Lords face was like lightening. Dan. 10:6 This same personage appeared again at the tomb. Mt. 28:3 The second coming of Christ will be as the lightning, shining from east to west. Mt. 24:27 As a matter of fact, He will be seen as the lightning, The very glory and brilliancy of His Second Coming will not only be as lightning but He will be a display of intense lightning, or the arrow of the Lord. Lk. 17:24

THE THRONE OF THE LORD AN AWESOME THRONE. A tremendous display of flashing, blazing light or lightning. The sound, the roll of thunder, the exceeding great thunderclaps. The discharge of might and energy is absolute. There is no force nor power that can supersede this display. The blazing glory of the living Lord is the greatest in the universe. Do we fear? The flow of the power of the Holy Spirit when He fills us is the same energy that is emitted from the throne of God. What a thrill to know that His power will come forth from the throne and course through the inhabitants of heaven. There is no greater excitement or pleasure than that of the anointing of the Spirit. The voices of the throne are obvious. The Father has spoken to this world. The Son has made His voice heard and in our dispensation it is the Holy Spirit who is speaking. The Lord has a voice and will make Himself heard. as the WORD of God excites us and enrapture us now, so HIS Word will do so throughout eternity. We will revel in the sound of His pleasant and loving WORDS. Rev. 4:5
