MESSIANIC PROPHECIES IN ISAIAH

Jesus was tempted.  Lk. 4:1-13. He met in personal conflict with the Devil. Having fasted for forty days He hungered. First; Satan challenged His Deity by urging Him to take a stone and turn it into bread to satisfy His hunger, which must have been intense. Jesus overcame in the strong desire of the lust of the flesh, by the word of God. Second; Satan yet seeking to be worshipped showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world, certainly not only those that existed then but for all time. While at the same time offering Him the power and glory of these kingdoms that had been delivered to Satan. The ecstasy of power to those in world leadership must be tremendous as they utilize the authority that is theirs. Again, Jesus overcame the lust of the eyes, by the Word of the Lord. Third, The temptation of demonstration. Using the power of the Spirit to manifest the power of the Most High and the promises of His WORD. The Word was again the source of victory for the Lord as he overcame the Pride of life. See what I can do, the flesh is so fickle. Always wanting to show off.

Jesus was anointed to provide leadership in the offices unto which He was called. When Jesus was filled with the Spirit the Father spoke from heaven acknowledging His Son. Proclaiming that He was well pleased with His Son. Mt. 3:17 Jesus was anointed and called to fulfill the Office of the Prophet. The Father said; HEAR YE HIM, while again announcing that He was well pleased with His Son. Mt.17:5 The ministry of the Priest is evidenced in both; His sacrifice as the Lamb of God.  Jn. 1:29 Also in His continual intercession for mankind.  Heb. 7:25 an effective soul saving intercession be fore the Father. He is the KING. His reign is Spiritual, it is eternal and glorious. Heb. 1:8 He is presented as GOD, which He is, as is the Father and the Holy Spirit. The Throne is His and His Fathers and the overcomers. Rev.3:21 The kingdom is a kingdom of absolute righteousness and purity. There will never be another act of sin perpetrated in that eternal , everlasting, heavenly country and home of the redeemed.

The Messiah anointed for ministry.  Isa. 63:1 To declare the good news of the Lord. The message of the Word reaching the meek, the humble, the word even implies the poor. It was so, for the poor heard Him gladly.

He brought a healing balm to the brokenhearted, the hurting of humanity. Those who for whatsoever reason are in pain and suffering in their soul and spirit. There is a source of great help in the Lord Jesus. For some He is the only help.
