MESSIANIC PROPHECIES IN ISAIAH

The pleasure of the Lord. Isa. 53:10 The pleasure of the Lord is expressed in His will. He delights in fulfilling those things that He has purposed. He greatly delights in His people doing His will in their lives. The good pleasure of His will is expressed in those that receive Christ as savior. Those who accept the Lord are adopted into the family of God. Eph. 1:5 Adoption is predicated on the fact that the individual comes to the Lord in repentance and is born again. Adoption with God is not picking and choosing one above another. It is not rejecting one in favor of another. God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to a knowledge of sins forgiven. In His foreknowledge the Lord knew the life plan of every man and deemed it to be so.

The pleasure of the Lord is found in the manifestation and bestowal of His abundant mercy. Forgiveness and compassion for the repentant sinner are to be found in Him. Micah 7:18 The WORD of His mouth and the fulfillment of the same is His pleasure. Isa.55:11 Heaven and earth will surely come to and end but not one jot nor title of the WORD will be null or void.  Mt. 24:35 The power of the Lord is manifest in His WORD. Every promise, every prophecy will be completed, just as expressed in His WORD. The redeemed that fear or reverence the Lord are His joy and delight. Ps.147:11 Again in, Ps.149:4, The Lord takes pleasure in His people. Our worship, our adoration, our praise, our walk before Him brings joy and pleasure to Him. The joy and pleasure that the Lord so abundantly bestows on us is returned to Him when we do his perfect will in our lives. Please the Lord.

The stone of salvation and judgment. The foundation for the work of the Lord. Isa. 28:16 This is the Word of the Sovereign LORD. A Word of authority from the Highest. Something to which one must give heed. A foundation stone to be laid in Zion. The stone of vital importance.

Peter identified the stone.  1 Pet. 2:6 Jesus is the chief corner stone. The leading stone. The one bearing the weight of the whole building. All others depend on the chief stone. This stone is an elect, or a chosen or a favorite stone. A stone of great value. It is stone of personality for those who believe on Him will never be put to shame. Jesus is the living stone and the life giving stone to those who believe on Him. 1 Pet. 2:4 Those building on this true foundation are called lively stones or living stones. They are being built in to the spiritual house or the true Temple of the Lord. Their calling is to be a priesthood of holiness. Their sacrifices are not animals but spiritual sacrifices unto the Lord. that which is fitting and proper before Him. It is a tried stone, a test stone, tested and testing others.
