MESSIANIC PROPHECIES IN ISAIAH

Future promises of the restored kingdom of David (loving). The one coming is the righteous BRANCH, the Tsemach.  Jer. 23:5 His kingdom will be a kingdom of righteousness. Not only will He be a righteous king but his people will be as righteous as He. Under His guidance the kingdom will prosper or flourish and grow greatly. Jesus, as the king, has met and fulfilled the demands of judgment. He has brought forth true justice in the earth. All the divine requirements have been satisfied. We are now citizens of His eternal kingdom. The only hope for Judah and Israel is in this righteous one. Outside of Christ there is no hope. In  Jer.23:6 He is given a special name and that is; THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. How expressive of just what He is to us and what He will accomplish in His church. There is a companion scripture in  Jer. 33:15-16 But there is a difference, for in this verse He is no longer spoken of, now it is His bride upon whom this name is bestowed. SHE shall be called by the same name. The LORD, or JEHOVAH our righteousness. His bride will proudly receive His name, for with His name she will receive all the attributes, the power and authority of that name. How beautifully He imparts to His own His very character and being. He will elevate His bride to His status and bearing. She is to be as regal as He. They shall reign together throughout the eternity to come. A never ending kingdom of righteousness and purity.

The BRANCH who is the servant. The promise of the coming one. Not only is He the beginning of a new order, He is the foundation and the corner stone of he house of the Lord.  Zech. 3:8 He is the stone upon which are seven eyes or the seven fold Spirit of God. Jesus is the Lamb with seven horns (fullness of power) and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, or seven fold (the completeness). The sevenfold Spirit is mentioned in Isaiah chapter eleven and verse two, as the: Spirit of the Lord. God is a spirit, to be worshipped in the Spirit. John 4:24 The Spirit of wisdom. Christ Jesus is our wisdom. 1 Cor. 1:30 The Spirit of understanding. Knowing Christ avails us of hidden treasures that are to be found in Him. Col. 2:2-3 The Spirit of counsel. His is a counsel that is steadfast, unchangeable and perfect. Never faulty. Heb. 6:17-18 The Spirit of might. Glorious manifestation of the power of the Lord in the lives of the Spirit filled. Exceeding great power. Eph.1:18-22 The Spirit of knowledge. All knowledge emanates from Him. He is knowledge. Rom. 11:33 The Spirit of the fear of the Lord. If we are Spirit filled we will reverence and honor the Lord in all things. Jesus did. Heb. 5:7.

A stone upon which there are etchings made by the Lord.  Zech. 3:9 The word, graving used here means to break forth, to loose to be free. There is freedom found in Jesus. Because this stone represents Christ the engraving portrays the liberty that is ours in Christ Jesus. The second word, graving, is to sculpture or to carve. seeing that the Law was carved into two stones, I like to think that the carvings on this stone are the great commandments given by Jesus, thou shalt love.  Mt. 22:37-40 All the law and the prophets hang on these two. Then surely these are the more important.
