THE ARM OF THE LORD. The Lord searching for someone, an intercessor and finding none in all of Israel. Isa. 59:16 Salvation and strength are to be found only in the Lord. Jesus is the great intercessor. He is ever in the presence of the Father acting as an intercessor for us. Heb. 7:25 Moses and Abraham were men of intercession. They had dared to step into the gap between a righteous God determined to bring judgment upon the ungodly and the people who were sinners.
THE REVEALED ARM OF THE LORD. Isa. 53:1 What the Lord has accomplished through his arm (the Lord Jesus) was done openly, publicly and not in a corner. Through the ARM of the LORD His strength is manifest. The works of the ARM of the LORD as seen in the WORD. Isa. 63:12 Israel was delivered from Egypt by the glorious arm of the power of the Lord. His arm is the arm of manifest glory and power. Deliverance is available through His arm. Isa. 52:10 His ARM is a holy ARM. Holiness is the nature of the Lord and without it no man shall see the LORD. To have His ARM wrapped around us will create a great desire to follow Him in His holiness. The closer we are to Him the greater the desire to be like Him. There is salvation in His ARM. Isa. 63:4-5 The ARM of salvation, when rejected, will visit in correction and punishment. The Lord will not always appeal to man to follow Him. There is a cut off and that will be the day when the Lord will wreak vengeance on the ungodly. The mercy and love of the Lord is awesome indeed. Like wise the judgments of the Lord are awesome and fierce. Isa. 51:9 The historical reference here is to the deliverance out of Egypt. There is a prophetical reference that must be considered. Amazingly the dragon (Lucifer) has access to heaven, into the very throne presence of God. The dragon is involved in a war in the heavenly and is defeated and cast out. Rev. 12:7-9. He will suffer further defeat at the beginning of the Millennium and is cast into the bottomless pit for a thousand years where he is chained and bound and sealed. Completely incarcerated. No possibility of release for the thousand year period. Neither he, nor those who are influenced by him will find a place in the Kingdom of Christ. They don’t belong there. They would be most unhappy if they were permitted to be there. No sin, no sinners in the Millennium. Rev.20:2-3 The ARM of the LORD will defeat Satan a third time at which time Satan will be cast into the lake of fire for eternity. Rev. 20:10 The torment of the lake of fire is eternal. Age upon age, eon upon eon. It is just as eternal as our salvation is eternal. If eternal punishment has an end then our eternal salvation would surely have a conclusion and an ending. Thank God salvation is forever and ever, everlastingly, everlasting.
The anointed of the Lord. Isa. 61:1 The practicality of the anointing of the Spirit is evidenced here. The same anointing that was upon the Lord Jesus is the Spirit that we receive today in the infilling of the Spirit. The Spirit came upon Him enabling Him to accomplish a ministry that would effect all of time and the whole world. The Holy Spirit is given today, not as a toy or plaything but for the systematic accomplishment of the word of the Lord. There is much to be done and it can only be finished by the workings of the Holy Spirit in our lives. It must be noted that in the life of the Lord Jesus, the first event that He faced after being filed with the Spirit was a time of testing and trial. Many fail here. They do not pass the test.
