THE PLANTING OF THE LORD

FORGETTING THOSE THINGS THAT ARE BEHIND. The past is irreparable why should we dwell on that over which we have no power to alter? The present is with us and the future is before us. Paul exhorted us to leave the past and reach out unto that which is profitable. His goal was the high calling found in Christ Jesus. Phil. 3:13 He knew that the things of this life are quickly forgotten when we are in the presence of the Lord. One of the great blessings of the New Heavens and the New Earth is that the memories of this present life are no longer remembered, they will not come to our minds. Isa. 65:17.

THE NEW IS ETERNAL. The work of salvation and redemption will be
finalized in the New Heaven and New Earth. Nothing will ever spoil the beauty of His new creation. Everything in them will be eternal. Their name
will never cease. For it is HIS name that is written upon them. HIS name will
be in their foreheads. His name is the greatest, the most wonderful, the
most powerful name that has ever or ever will be named. It is the name of
the Lord Jesus Christ. Rev.22:4 That name will be upon every one who has become a conqueror in this life. They are steadfast in the house of the Lord.
They are people who have been established in the temple of the Lord. They
are unwavering, abiding, covenant keeping saints. The name of God is to
be written upon them, showing that they are His possession. The name of
the City is upon them. The New Jerusalem. The City and the name cannot
be separated. His name, the new name that He received when He came to
earth will be written upon them, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
They are His and He is theirs. They will not be ashamed of His name.
Rev.3:12.

A SEED THAT IS ETERNAL. As everlasting as the new heavens will
be the seed of Christ and the church. Isa. 66:22 The heavens and the
earth that are now are the work of His hands. But they shall perish, they
shall become old, they will pass away. They Lord is everlasting, He will
continue to be God. The children of His servants shall continue to live in His
presence. Their seed shall be established forever before the Lord. Ps. 102:25-28.

A LITTLE ONE TO BECOME A THOUSAND. That which is born of the
will and the purpose of the Lord. Born, that the word of the Lord might
be consummated. Isa. 60:22 Thousand, {Strong, to bring forth thousands,
from a root word, meaning family} We find here the possibility of a
continuation of a race that is comparable to the manchild of Revelation
twelve. A small one to become a mighty nation, or a multiplicity of people. A
people of power and majesty. The LORD will hasten {Strong, haste or make
ready, figuratively, to be eager with excitement or enjoyment}. The finished
product is exciting and certainly a thing of joy and happiness.
