THE PLANTING OF THE LORD

HEAR A PARABLE.Mt. 21:33 A parable is the illustration of a truth in story form. This time the FATHER is presented as the householder. The planter of the vine, building a wall of protection around it. The vineyard was completely furnished with a winepress to be used in harvest time and a watchtower where every enemy that approached could be easily recognized and dealt with. Everything was in perfect order. At the fruit season the absent landlord sent his servants to collect his share of the fruit, according as they had contracted. Twice the householder sent servants to receive that which was rightfully his. Both times they were grossly mistreated, even killed. Then the son was sent but these wicked men by this time were so heard hearted that they killed the son. What is their punishment? They are to be destroyed. Their privileges taken from them and given to those who are more than willing to abide by the covenant. The householder, the wicked husbandman, the servants and the son are all easily identified.

THE SONG OF THE BRIDE.Isa. 5:1 This is a song of love, true love. The foregoing was a parable. This is the prophecy from which the parable was derived. The song is the song of the vineyard, perhaps one that would relate to harvest time, for that is the time of joy and rejoicing. A song directed to the one who is well loved, loved beyond all others and anything material. So important is the story of this song that it is repeated again in the book of Jeremiah chapter eleven.

A SONG SUNG BY THE CHURCH.Song 5:16 In previous studies we have presented the sword of His mouth. Now, the sweetness of His mouth. His words are freighted with truth and righteousness. There is nothing sweeter than the WORD as it pours forth from His mouth. It is the fragrance of heaven. The perfume of the Bride of Christ. The Psalmist had learned the value of every word that proceeded from His mouth and found them to be the sweetest of all sweets. A sweetness superseding that of honey. Ps. 119:103. The WORD of His mouth is that which stirs the heart of His bride. It is a glorious, marvelous WORD that can become very real and exciting as we partake of it. They say; the proof of the pudding is in thee eating. Taste and see for yourself. Ps. 34: The Lord is good. He always benefits His own with His WORD.
