FOUR IS THE NUMBER WHICH BELONGS TO THE EARTH. It was on the fourth day of creation that He created the light bearing bodies to lighten the earth. He, who Himself is light. 1 John 1:5 Created a light with which He would give light and life to the world. Gen. 1:3 It was His act of creation for the fourth day when He placed His created light in the stars and set them in Divine order. Gen. 1:14-19 These bodies of light determine the four main periods of the day, morning, noon, evening and midnight. Their position is also responsible for the four seasons of the year, spring, summer, fall, and winter. The moon also goes through four phases every month in which action it depicts the death burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. There are four basic element recognized by man, earth, air, fire and water. The four points of the compass must also be taken into consideration and included, north, south, east and west. The scripture also mentions four winds and the four corners of the earth. It is not to easy to find a corner on a round globe, such as the earth. Nevertheless, a few years ago scientist found that there are four areas of the earth which have a peak or prominence that they considered to be corners. The discoveries of men simple prove the truth of the Word.
A RIVER IN EDEN DIVIDED INTO FOUR HEAD WATERS. Our attention is drawn to the fourth of these rivers. Named, Euphrates, the following various interpretations are given. To break forth, the good and abounding river, sweet water. All of which would indicate that the river was a great source of life to the area in that day, and still is. Gen. 2:14 It is called by the scriptures the great river and also the river. It was the eastern border of the land promised to Abraham, by the Lord. Gen. 15:18 If Israel is to possess the land promised to Abraham, they have a long way to go. Their borders were from the Nile to the Euphrates. There is no question but what the river Euphrates has a prophetic fulfillment in the not too distant future. What is taking place today is not circumstantial but by Divine design. Consider Jer. 46:10 There are four angels bound in the great river Euphrates. The fact that they are bound indicates that they are fallen angels. They are loosed in association with the sixth trumpet which would place this happening close to the later days of the great tribulation. Their action will take place at a predetermined and specific moment of time, from the year, the month, the day, even down to the very hour. The army that they will lead will create havoc in the earth. Literally one-third of he population of the earth will perish at this moment of time. Rev. 9:15 In spite of this great tragedy the inhabitants of the world will not repent nor turn from their extremely wicked and unrighteous ways. They are extremely religious but in every way and manner that is contrary to the true and living God. They are devil worshipers, worshipping the antichrist and his image. They are completely sold out to wicked and unrighteous works. The number four was found in the beginning and will play a great part in the end of the world. Rev. 9:20-21.
