THE LION. Eze. 1:10 It is fitting that Judah {praise} would be before the door of the tabernacle. Ps. 100:4 We are to enter into the house of the Lord with thanksgiving and praise. Their insignia was that of the lion. Rev. 5:5 This is representative of the one who is the LION of the TRIBE of Judah. Depicting the strong triumphant nature of the Lord Jesus. The fearsome, awesome one. They were to camp on the East side. Mt. 24:27 The coming of the Son of Man, the Lion of the tribe of Judah will be from the East, for Jesus compared His coming to the lightning that flashes out from the East. Judah was to set out first, as the leader and the first to go into battle. How much like our Lord who leads the way. 2 Thes. 1:8-9 His second coming is not a minor event, but one of the most destructive events in the history of mankind. As a Lion seeking revenge, as a flame of devouring fire. The ungodly will be punished with a destruction that is absolute and eternal. They will be abolished forever from the kingdom of our Lord and from the glory of the Eternal which will be manifest to and in the believers. What a glorious event, if one is on the right side of the fence.
THE OX. Eze. 1:10 The animal of strength. An animal of sacrifice. It was Moses to whom God gave the Law of Sacrifice. He is the one associated with the ox. The number of animals sacrificed by Israel over the years must have been astronomical. The standard of Ephriam was that of the ox. They were situated on the West side of the tabernacle or to the back.
They were the third rank in the marching order.
THE EAGLE. Num. 2:25 The insignia of the tribe of Dan. They were located on the north of the tabernacle. Num. 2:31 They were the last in the marching order. Of the four living ones this is the sign of Enoch who was transported in to heaven. Enoch walked with God. Jude 1:14 He was a prophet and saw the second coming. Heb. 11:5 He was a man of faith and pleased the Lord.
THE SOUND OF HEAVEN. Isa. 6:3 The proclamation of the holiness of the Lord Almighty. Thrice holy, the sum and totality of Holiness. The one who is the very epitome of Holiness. His personality, His character, His whole being is Holy. He is the sacred one, the sanctuary of Holiness. Heaven echoes and reechoes with the praises of His Holiness. Ex. 15:11.
There is nothing that can be compared to Him. None can equal Him in His majestic glory and holiness. The God of all Glory. The God of all competency, working works that cannot be equaled by any. He is worthy of all praise and worship.
