LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH

THE PREEMINENCE OF THE WORD. Isa.2:3 He will teach us. Jn. 14:26 The greatest teacher has been granted to the church. He has come to teach us the ways of the Lord. He will make known or reveal the Word of God to the church. Because of misuse many have become fearful of even the word revelation. That does not take away the legitimacy of a true revelation of the Spirit and the Word. The two agree. No revelation will exceed the Word or be contrary to the Word. We have the right to test all revelation by the Word. Proper directions always come from the Word and the Spirit. Isa. 30:21 The voice of the Spirit is in the Word. This is the way, walk in it. We have the more sure Word of prophecy. The utterances of man can be and are corrupted, at times. We can be assured that we will not be led astray by the scriptures. When the Spirit anoints the Word to us, we learn to walk in the way of righteousness. In good paths. To scale obstacles and mountains. The Word becomes our guide post and road map. A church in revival will emphasize the teaching of the Word of God. It is one of the indications that revival is present.

THE WORD GOING FORTH. Isa.2:3 The proclamation of the Word from Zion {the church} and from Jerusalem {the New Jerusalem}. Rom. 10:18 How far did the early church carry the Gospel message? From the words of Paul we are given to understand that it covered all the earth even to the ends of the world. In that generation they fulfilled the command of the Lord Jesus. Now, in the end of the age that same Gospel is being preached to the whole world. One may not always agree with what is said, for all that is said is not necessarily good Gospel, but we must admit that the Gospel is being preached. By radio, TV and Internet the world is being covered. In some instances into areas where a missionary could not go. Light that Word with the fire of the Spirit and you have revival. A moving of the Spirit that supersedes all the efforts of men. God is in control and will accomplish His purpose in this world.

HE WILL JUDGE THE NATIONS. Isa. 1:26 a sign of revival is the return of proper, Spiritual leadership. Judges and counselors, men chosen for the work of the ministry, not necessarily professional but anointed and called to their proper position in the body of Christ. Again, in Isa.2:4 He shall judge, the He, being the Lord Jesus. Isa.11:4 His judgment will not be according you what he will see, nor after the things that are told Him or whispered in His ears. His judgment is with righteousness, with mercy, He will have pity upon those who have gone astray. There is a judgment that produces a good work, an act of repentance and spiritual remorse. Some judgment is beneficial. There is also the other side of judgment which will bring a penalty, even eternal separation from the Lord and the things of the Lord. Revival, brings judgment against sin.

AN AMAZING PROPHECY. Isa. 19:16-17 In recent history Egypt has attacked Israel with disastrous results for themselves. It is obvious that there was an intervention by the hand of the Lord in a mighty way. This statement by Isaiah was executed. When the Lord creates a spirit of fear in the hearts of the people they are defeated. God was against Egypt. But it was for a purpose. The Lord is not yet through with the middle east.
The last day revival will bring multitudes to repentance. Gen. 32:14-15.
Jacob, when he returned to meet Esau sent an offering of five {number of
atonement} droves to Esau. Gen. 32:28. Jacob had a name and nature change. Gen. 32:30. Jacob had a face to face encounter with the Lord. Jacob bowed himself to the ground, seven times, signifying total humility. Gen.33:4. They fell on each others neck. Revival will break out when there is a reconciliation, brought about by recognizing that Jesus is Lord. Only by and in Christ Jesus can Jew and Arab be reconciled.
