TO WHOM WAS IT REVEALED? WHO KNEW?

JOSEPH, the husband of Mary knew. Mt. 1:20-21 The Angel of the Lord came to him in a dream. The angel acknowledged Joseph (fruitful) to be a true son of David. Again, the message is fear not. Mary has conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost. Joseph was a spiritual man and received the message of the Angel in absolute faith and confidence. For the second time the message is, A Son, a Savior, JESUS is to be His name.

ELISABETH, (God of the oath), Marys cousin knew. Lk.1:36 Elisabeth was already pregnant with John, the Baptist, conceived by miraculous renewal. By a couple who were far beyond the years of child bearing. Lk.1:7 Again a birth that was planned by the Almighty. Lk.1:13 The name John was likewise given by the Lord. Lk.1:41 Just a greeting, but oh how powerful. John leaped for joy, though yet in the womb. The Holy Ghost filled Elisabeth and she prophesied, with a loud voice, it was freighted with power. v.43 Elisabeth, confirmed that Mary was pregnant with the LORD. v.45 The Lord will perform that which He had promised. If He makes a promise He will fulfill it.

ZACHARIAS, (Jah has remembered). He knew. Lk. 1:16-17 John was to have the ministry of preparing the hearts of the people for the coming of the Messiah. Lk. 1:67 The Holy Ghost filled Zacharias and he prophesied. He knew. All those who knew of all that had happened to him and those who heard him, should have known.

SIMEON, (Hearing). Lk 2:25-35. He was a spiritual man, just, a righteous man. He was also devout, one keeping the tenets of his faith. HE WAS WAITING FOR THE CONSOLATION OF ISRAEL. The Holy Ghost was upon him. Lk.2:26 He had to have had a revelation that the time was near, for he was WAITING. Lk. 2:27 He came by the SPIRIT into the Temple at the precise time that Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to fulfill the Law. Lk. 2:28-35 He held Jesus, and prophesied. Mine eyes have seen. The light to the Gentiles and the glory of Israel. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, he knew.

ANNA (He was gracious). Lk.2:36-38 A prophetess eighty-four years old. Remained in the temple constantly. Spending her time in fasting and prayer. Waiting on the Lord night and day. She also, came to the place where they were. She gave thanks unto the Lord and spoke of Him TO ALL THEM THAT LOOKED FOR REDEMPTION IN JERUSALEM. In other words it was noised abroad that the redeemer was born. Surely this thing was not done in a corner.
