The call of Isaiah was not only to natural Zion and Jerusalem but most definitely may be applied to the last day Jerusalem. Isa. 52:1 That glorious spiritual city which is the Mother of us all. Gal. 4:26 The cry of the prophet was for them to awaken out of their drowsiness and lethargy. Have eyes which are opened and seeing clearly the vision of the Lord for these last days. We are living in the days of the book of Revelation. It is time to read the book with full comprehension and understanding “for the time is at hand.” Rev. 1:3 Furthermore, the order was not to seal or close up the book, but to hear and see the prophetic words contained in it. Rev. 22:10.
With the same breath the Prophet Isaiah urged that they clothe themselves with the beautiful garments, the wedding gown which is in the process of preparation. It is time to finish it and be clothed with all that it implies. The return of the prodigal and his humility in approaching his father resulted in the best robe of the house being given to him. Luke 15:22 Hosea called for a return unto the Lord. An action which would bring healing and bandaging of the wounds. A stirring, a reviving. A time of being made whole, spiritually. A restoration of that which had been lost. Hos. 6:1 Wonderfully he gave a time element to his prophecy. After two days, a day with the Lord is as a thousand years. We are two thousand year from the life of Christ on this earth. It is time for a return, a refreshing and even great and glorious new things. The third day is the Millennium or the thousand year reign of Christ on earth. Hos. 6:2-3.
The New Man is a part of that new nation called the kingdom of God. All are made to be kings and priests unto the Lord. Rev. 1:6 The garments of the priest were holy and were given to him for glory and beauty. Ex. 28:2 How much more gorgeous and majestic will the bride be clothed. There is nothing more beautiful to the Lord than those who worship Him out of a holy, pure heart.
Ps. 29:2 David the king wore a robe of the finest of linen.
1 Chr. 15:27 The righteousness of the saints. Rev. 19:8.
