he New Man is an individual who is saved. To be saved is a scriptural term assuring the safety of the person who has been delivered. They are delivered from the old life of drudgery and sin. They have been spiritually healed and brought into a place of Divine protection. 2 Tim. 1:9 Just recently a fishing ship sank off of Alaska. Most of the crew were saved from death in the cold stormy waters, by wearing life saving equipment, by life boats, by other ships nearby, or by the Coast Guard. Time tested methods were used to deliver them from death. So Christ has saved us and will save all who will come to Him. Salvation is of the Lord.
The New Man is one who has responded to the holy call of the Lord. Not only is the one calling Holy but He will call all who will hear to live and walk in holiness. Holiness, is a Bible term demonstrating that new life which is found in the Lord Jesus. Even the most wicked of men have at least some standard of that which is right and that which is wrong. We violate our own conscience when we have the knowledge of that which is right and do just the opposite. Sin, is a clear knowledge of that which is right and proper and we persist in doing our own contrary thing. James 4:17.
The New Man is one who has been chosen, selected, in or because of Christ Jesus. No one person has had a better opportunity of being chosen than any other person. We have not been chosen for any other reason other than our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We have been chosen in Him, from before the foundation of the world. Without Christ, there would be none who would fit into the category of the chosen. Eph. 1:4 Those who are in Christ have been chosen and were given a definite destination. Called and separated unto the Lord. Chosen that they might be holy and blameless in His sight. A people of righteousness and holiness. Their love and desire to be with Him is the strongest emotion in their lives, causing them to emulate the life of Christ. They are evidenced by their seeking and embracing the truth. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Holiness, will purify and sanctify them until Christ is fully revealed in them. The ultimate goal is that they might be vessels who are filled with the glory of the Lord. 2 Thess. 2:13-14 The Lord will have a glorious church, without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing.Eph. 5:27.
