Those who are in Christ are a triumphant, victorious people. The Word of the Lord does not promise that there will not be trials and tribulations along life’s pathway, but His word does say that He ALWAYS causes us to overcome when we are in Christ. 2 Cor. 2:14 We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. Rom. 8:37 He leads us from victory to victory. Not always the easy way, nor in an immediate manner, but the end is a march of victory.
Not only are we in Christ but more wonderfully He is in His people. The Christian life is accomplished by the presence of Christ in His temple. The Lord no longer seeks to manifest His presence in buildings of wood and stone. Now His presence is in the spirit nature of every one who is born of the Spirit. An experience in Christ which is the beginning of spiritual growth, leading up to the completeness of the Godhead dwelling in His very own people. The redeemed are designated to be the holy temple of the Lord. His presence is manifest when the Spirit of the Lord dwells within the heart and life of hose who love Him. 1 Cor. 3:16 Christ abiding within is the hope of the true expression of His glory in its fullness. Col. 1:27.
Jesus in His teaching made known the presence of the kingdom of God. When He delivered the demon possessed from tormenting devils, He declared that the kingdom of God had come unto those who had been delivered. The kingdom of God is a very practical manifestation and work of the Spirit of the Lord. Mt. 12:28 The kingdom of God is an essential for all who would inherit eternal life and its blessings. The exhortation of the Lord Jesus was to place the seeking of that kingdom as the very first priority of our lives. Added to that, is a longing to be like Him, righteous pure and holy. In so doing, He will add the vital, necessary spiritual and natural elements to our lives. The Lord will meet all of our needs in Christ Jesus. Mt. 6:33 The storehouse of the Lord is full of the glory and blessings of the Lord. The Lord is desirous of manifesting His power in the lives of those who will meet the criteria so necessary for the manifestation of His mighty works through His people.
