THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST IN IASIAH

LIKE THE ROARING OF THE SEAIsa. 5:30 The sound of the army of the Lord likened to the roaring of an angry sea in the time of mighty winds. Luke 21:25c Jesus associated the roaring of the sea and waves to His second coming. As we approach that day there is no question but what we will see more and stronger storms sweep across the world. The seas are a type of the masses of humanity. Rebellions, riots, demonstrations of all kinds are a part of the seas of humanity roaring out their dissent or disapproval. This too is very definitely a part of the last day order and can only increase.

DARKNESSIsa. 5:30 Darkness over the whole earth. This not the darkness of night but total darkness. Ex. 10:21-23. When the Lord turns off His lights it is DARK. Total absolute darkness. A darkness which can be FELT. A THICK darkness. A darkness of such intensity that the Egyptians
did not move for three days. Mt. 24:29 Are the words of Jesus true? He plainly stated that this event of great darkness and His second coming would be IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION. v.27 So that we may know that the rapture is the subject spoken of here, we consider the word COMING, it is the Greek word parousia, which is translated rapture by almost all Bible Scholars. v. 29 It is here at the close of the great tribulation period, that the sun will be darkened. The moon cannot shine for it shines only as the sun light reflects from it. The stars will fall, lose their orbit and order in the universe. The powers of the heavens shaken, in complete disarray. The shaking of the universe. This will be the cataclysmic event of the ages. The second coming of Jesus is not a casual event!

COMING AS A THIEF IN THE NIGHT2 Pet. 3:10 Is there a darker night than that one when Jesus comes and that which we have seen in the Word? What a graphic picture is given by Peter, under the inspiration of the Spirit. The heavens will dissipate with a great crashing and roar, certainly a
sound never heard before, nor will it ever be heard again. He is coming in flaming fire. So hot is that fire that the elements of the earth are melted. The elements – [Strongs, stoicheion, something orderly in arrangement}. Will there be an atomic explosion? The works of men, the freeways, the
parks, the beautiful buildings that have become the pride and joy of man, will not exist after the second coming of Christ. They are completely destroyed, burned up is the terminology that Peter uses. v.11 Since all this will take place, and we are close to that time. What kind of Christians are we? If we really believed that Jesus could come at any moment would we live today as we lived yesterday? Rev.16:15 He is warning us. Be blest and live today in the power of His might. Put on Christ. Use His robe of righteousness. He is coming as a thief. Are we watching? How do we watch? Be in the Spirit and in the Word and you will be ready.
