The magnitude of the riches of the inheritance to be found in the Lord Jesus is beyond the ability of mankind to comprehend. It embraces everything and all things. Secular and spiritual, in this life and that to come. The Father God has appointed, i.e., placed the Lord Jesus into the position of being the heir of all things. There can be no limit to ìall thingsî nor is there any boundary to that which He has created. It embraces the ìworlds,î that is, that which is eternal and everlasting. Heb. 1:2 It also involves the earth which we now occupy and most definitely that which is to come, the new heavens and the new earth. The emphasis very definitely is not to be placed on the worldly wealth of the inheritance but on the spiritual riches which are to be found in the Lord Jesus.

We have seen and experienced how quickly the riches of this world can be diminished and deflated. The things of this world are not built on a foundation that is lasting, but the riches of the glory of the Lord are time tested and true. They never lose their value nor can they, for they are built upon a foundation that is eternal. The material minded speak of inheriting a mansion and streets of gold in the eternal kingdom of God. The wise, the spiritual see that there are riches far greater than these as our eternal inheritance. He is preparing the riches of His glory for His people. The splendor of Himself made manifest in the saints of light. Eph. 1:18 The material things, even those found in the kingdom of heaven are that which He has created. His glory, is the exceeding greatness of His power as He is pleased to manifest it in His very own. It is a case of Christ dwelling within and His glory filing and flooding the whole being. Col. 1:27.

When we speak of the glory of the Lord as being resident within the redeemed, we are talking about that which is termed to be exceedingly great, who can measure it, and is made known through His grace and kindness to those who are His. Eph. 2:7 It is also declared to be impossible to fathom the greatness, the full extent, of that eternal glory. Eph. 3:8 His glory knows no ultimate, no end. There is absolutely no way to exhaust the glory of the Lord which will eternally be being renewed and constantly being revealed to His people. How many times do we see the glory of the Lord visiting the tabernacle and the temple. Isaiah was privileged to see the glory of the Lord. Ezekiel likewise saw the glory of the Lord as it will be made manifest eternally in heaven. Now, for the last generation He has declared that the knowledge glory of the Lord shall be seen in the earth to such a great extent that it will be like the covering of the earth by the waters of the sea. Hab. 2:14 The glorious church is coming.
