Sanctification, a work of the Word and Spirit which is a necessity for all who would follow the Lord Jesus. 1 Cor. 1:30 It is here that the liberty and freedom from the sin and unrighteousness of the world is imparted. So much is made of the destiny of the Christian by todayís ministry that we need to explore and find our true destiny. The ultimate goal, established by the Lord, for each and every one of His people is to experience the sanctifying power of the Lord. The call, the command of the Lord is that all, who call themselves by the name of Christ, that is, a Christian, should cast all evil from every avenue of their life. 2 Tim. 2:21 To accomplish sanctification there must be a purging, cleanse himself, an act of separation from every portion of our life that is displeasing to the Lord. It involves the total man, spirit, soul and body, with the ultimate purpose of achieving the holiness and righteousness of the Lord as our manner of life. 2 Cor. 7:1.

Redemption, begins with the conversion of the individual by being born of the Spirit and cleansed from sin and iniquity by the blood of the Lord Jesus. There is only one redemption which is made accessible to all who will believe on the Lord Jesus and His redemptive work at Calvary. 1 Cor. 1:30 The redeemed are a justified people. The wickedness of a life of sin has been corrected and they have found new life in Christ Jesus. They are forgiven, totally, completely, therefore they are free from the condemnation of the past life. All, who are truly in Christ are granted the privilege of living their life, without condemnation, regardless of its depths of iniquity. Rom. 8:1 His work is through and complete. If the fullness of redemption is not completed in a person, it is not the fault of the Lord. He has made provision for a total, entire redemption of all of mankind. As always, His goal is for our benefit. Redemption in its initial step is for the total eradication of sin and the absolute sanctification, purification of the total man. Only then can His grand and glorious purpose be accomplished in His people where they reach the perfections that are to be found in the Christ of God. Titus 2:14.

The final act of redemption involves the physical body in which we live. In His wisdom and purpose He will unite the redeemed with their body by using the old, as a seed sown in the ground, from which a new body, a redeemed body will spring forth in the resurrection of the righteous dead. By His Spirit He has sealed those who are His very own and those whom He will officially receive into His eternal presence by His Spirit. What a blessed assurance He has given that there would be not uncertainty about our eternal future. Eph. 4:30.
