The privilege of serving the Lord is a wondrous element of life, both now and in eternity. To explore the high calling which is to be found in the Lord Jesus will open infinite areas and essentials of spiritual life. The Lord Jesus is the source of all life. He is life, therefore dispenses life and light to illuminate the pathway of eternal life. For life to exist there must be a constant supply of light. Jesus is the light of life and those who would have the light of life will respond to His call to follow Him. John 8:12

John declared the glorious status of those who will walk in that light to be that of ìsons of God.î 1 John 3:2 It is the law of the Spirit that we be born of God. Not only created naturally but by entering into a relationship which the Word accomplishes in our spiritual being, by our being born again by the incorruptible seed, the Word of God. 1 Pet. 1:23 The only possible way of membership in the family of the Lord and subsequently living eternally in His glorious presence is to be born into His family. Those who are in Christ, will give evidence of that new life by the way of separation from the old life. 2 Cor. 5:17

ALL, as many as are giving evidence of being led by the Spirit of the Lord are showing that new nature which is to be found in a true knowledge of the Lord Jesus. One vital manifestation of the new life is a hunger, an intense desire to both hear and to study the Word of the Lord. The Word is His method of communicating and directing our lives into the blessings of the new creature. When we are led by the Spirit, Rom. 8:14, He will cause one to know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that we are His children. Being a child of God brings with it all the rights of sons, among them the ability to be an heir of God and a joint heir with the Lord Jesus. Rom. 8:17 Please note in particular, that we are to be glorified together, equally, as one. All that He is and ever will be He desires to share and share alike with those who are the love and delight of His life. Rom. 8:17

There is no uncertainty about belonging to His family for He will send the Comforter, the Holy Spirit on all who ask of Him. This is a vital part of our spiritual advancement and growth for He makes the Word to be understood for He has come to reveal Christ. He is our assurance. 1 John 4:13 He is also the seal of our redemption, which bears witness of the reality of the promises of the Lord. Eph. 4:30 The Word of the Lord offers a constant challenge to His people that we might enter in and partake of all that He has made available to us.
