The Lord, in His infinite ability has built into each and every human being a distinctiveness whereby we are identified. It is astonishing to learn that among the millions of human kind, no two persons are identical. There are many ways of identifying a particular person, one of which, is the manner in which they walk. The walk of a Christian should most definitely set them apart from all others. If we are going to declare our identification with Christ, then, because we are ìin Christî and He is in us, all should be able to be assured of our confession by our walking even as He walked. 1 John 1:7 Every Christian is presented with the challenge of bearing His likeness in all things. Our example is ever the Christ of God. We are privileged with the ability to walk in His footsteps, in all things. That includes the possibility of having to suffer with Christ. The Lord Jesus is ever and in all ways the true example of a walk which is pleasing to the Father. 1 Peter 2:21 Take special notice, this is the call of the Lord to all who would follow Him.

To walk in His footsteps is to live the life of Christ. It has great benefits, in this life and in the future eternity which is before us. Jesus proclaimed Himself to be the light of the world. John 8:12 When we are ìin Christ,î we walk in that light. When we walk in that Light, we fellowship with a light that is eternal. A light which dispels all darkness. Darkness must flee when light shines forth. Light and life are synonymous, in the Lord Jesus. Life cannot exist without light, be it the created light which the Lord placed in the sun and stars, or spiritual light which is revealed when we accept the Lord Jesus as our Savior. Jesus is the light of life.

When we walk in THAT light, the Lord Jesus, we are privileged to have a communication, a fellowship, a companionship, where we enter into a partnership with the Father and the Son, the Lord Jesus. 1 John 1:3, 7 In this blessed spiritual relationship, the blood of the Lord Jesus cleanses us from ALL sin. The confession of sin to Him assures us of absolute forgiveness, cleansing and the ability to live a righteous life likened unto the example which He has left us. 1 John 1:9 He is the very embodiment of righteousness and He would ìset us in His steps.î Ps. 85:13 The ability to walk in Him, is not our own, it is imparted to us by His mercy and grace. In that light there is to be found the revelation of His great and magnificent love. Those walking with Him when committing their way to Him, soon discover the magnitude of His love. Love, real love is found in Him. He is the very essence of love. Eph. 5:2.
