SINNERS IN THE MILLENIUM ?

THE LORD TO EMPTY THE EARTH. How empty? The Hebrew word used is baqaq; to pour out, to depopulate, to make void. That certainly sounds like a complete eradication of the sinful inhabitants of the earth. It is to become waste, or void and empty. Isaiah described it as being turned, upside down, or emptied. The inhabitants of the earth will be scattered and broken in pieces. Isa. 24:1 This is a true; thus saith the Lord. The land will be completely destroyed and emptied, plundered. Isa. 24:3 The earth is depicted as growing old or drying up and withering. The proud of the earth to be made weak. Isa. 24:4 The earth corrupted, in almost every way possible. Morally and physically. The laws of God and man are violated and ignored. Man has corrupted everything possible and must pay the consequences. Because of his wayward ways man and man alone will pay the penalty for his deeds. Sinfulness has produced a curse on the earth that will devour it. The inhibitions will be burned and destroyed. The few who are left are those who belong to the Lord. They are sheltered and protected. Isa. 24:5-6

THE ENEMIES OF THE LORD TO BE JUDGED. They will be dealt with in a stern manner. When He appears they will be made like unto a burning fiery oven. The lord, in His anger and wrath will destroy and devour them with His fire. Their descendants and posterity will be utterly destroyed from off the earth. Ps. 21:9-10 The enemy purposed and plotted against the Lord but was unsuccessful. They will be destroyed while fleeing from the presence of the Lord. Ps. 21:11-12 The LORD is a man of war. Ex. 15:3 Who would be so foolish as to try to do battle with Him. He has never lost a battle nor will He ever. Make certain that you are on the winning side. We are more than conquerors, through Christ.

CONDITIONS LEADING TO THE DESTRUCTION OF THE EARTH. The revelers suddenly find their supply of wine and strong drink cut off. The merry makers no longer find joy in their music. Amazing how sober, serious and even religious people become in the aftermath of a great tragedy. Everywhere the strains of the song, Amazing Grace is to be heard. Today is the day of grace, not post catastrophe. This world is due for some drastic changes. Isa. 24:7-9, 11.
