A PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT IN DARKNESS! Night time is the time of darkness. Will there ever have been a season of such gross darkness as the time immediately prior to the return of Christ and battle of Armageddon? But; how important this is to a proper understanding of the Second Coming of our Lord. But; YOU, BROTHERS ARE NOT IN DARKNESS or are we? That day will not come to the members of the body of Christ as a day of astonishment, shock or surprise. That day is not a day that is not known by the church. It is only a day of shock and surprise to the unprepared, the ungodly. Even the ungodly triad knows that it is coming and will try to defeat Christ at His coming. If the kingdom of darkness has understanding, most assuredly those in the kingdom of God will be able to tell the time by the signs of the season. 1 Thes. 5:4
A KINGDOM PARABLE. Parables, while illustrations, present a truth that will be confirmed in the volume of the book. In the parable of the tares we find a prime example of those included and those excluded from the kingdom. The field is the world. The good seeds illustrate the sons of the kingdom. Those who legitimately belong there. The tares or the weeds are the children of the wicked one or Satan who sowed them. Mt. 13:38 These are simple and easily comprehended statements of fact and truth. The harvest is the end of the age. The reapers the angels of God. Mt. 13:39 The destiny of the weeds is destruction at the end of the age and before the millennium. Mt. 13:40 A great weeding program planed for the end of the age. From the kingdom (the current religious system) all that is offensive to the Lord and all sin will be removed from the kingdom and are cast in to a burning fiery furnace. Mt. 13:41-42 At this time the righteous are granted the fullness of the glory of the Lord and will shine as the sun in the kingdom or the millennial age. It is difficult to conceive the ungodly living is a world where every being was a being of great light. Mt. 13:43
WHO WILL DWELL IN YOUR TABERNACLE. A good question to ask into light of our quest for an understanding of the millennial age. Surely the Lord has a gauge with which He will measure those who are allowed into His kingdom. The whole of the kingdom will be the tabernacle of the Most High. The psalmist poses the question in Ps. 15:1 Then he proceeded to give us a list of requirements for those who would enter into that kingdom. A list that will challenge every saint of the Lord. Ps. 15:2-5 It can only be accomplished as we commit ourselves to the Lord and the Holy Spirit reveals His righteousness in us. It is not a standard that the sinner would even consider.
