THE CITY that is the creation of the Lord. Isa. 4:5 The glory of the Lord to be revealed in her and upon her. The city of peace and rest. The city where the glory of the Lord is resident. The Lamb of God is the source of light in the midst of and indwelling ever portion of the city and its inhabitants.Rev. 21:23 The same protection that was with the children of Israel when they escaped Egypt will be with the church in the wilderness as the Lord leads her into the place that He has prepared for her. Rev. 12:14 Note, this is that which the Lord will create, it is His handiwork and will be a perfect shelter during the Great Tribulation Period which is the period of time stated as a time, times and half a time, or three and one half years. Over all the glory, or the bride, there will be a defense or a canopy. The word used here indicates a marriage canopy. This is the place of the Bridegroom and the Bride while the judgments of the Lord are upon the earth.
A TABERNACLE for protection. Isa.4:6 A hiding place, a secret place from the catastrophes that prevail during the tribulation. There is the shadow of a great ONE that is promised to those who are His. The church will dwell under the shadow of the Almighty. Three things that are promised to His people, ONE; the Bride will be kept safely in His dwelling place. TWO; She will be hidden in the shelter of His Tabernacle. THIRDLY; She will be established on the ROCK, who else but the Lord Jesus. Ps.27:5 How many times have we quoted it, believed it and claimed it. THE NAME OF THE LORD IS A STRONG TOWER, the righteous find their shelter in that great tower. Pr.18:10.
A SHADOW,. The shadow portrays something that will shroud or cover. The scriptures speak of His WINGS as overshadowing. God does not have wings but they are symbolical of the power of the Holy Ghost. See, how His wings are referred to in the Word. This will be a refuge until the calamities of the tribulation are over. Ps.57:1 Under His wings there is a place of rejoicing, in contrast to the weeping that will be in the world at that time. Ps. 63:7.
THE SHADOW OF A GREAT ROCK. Isa.32:2 This time it is a man, THE MAN CHRIST JESUS, who is that place of protection and refuge. The hiding place and the protector during the time of trouble. The Bride will be encompassed with singing. The daughter of Zion is encouraged to sing, be glad and rejoice with all her heart. How could it be otherwise She is in the glorious presence of the Living God. Zeph. 3:14 The love song that will be heard in the wilderness will not just be on the part of the Bride, The Lord Jesus will sing for joy and delight over His Bride. Zeph. 3:17.
