THE BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR. Rev. 22:16 This so beautifully relates to the prophecies of the Lord Jesus who would come as a light to the world. He is the forerunner of a new, a bright and glorious day. Be it as the Savior and the light bearer to one who has long been in the darkness of sin or the illumination of the Word to one who has already
been saved. He makes all things new. The inward man is renewed day by day. Every day we may know the renewing of our Spirit, soul and body, in the Lord. We may have our daily routines but there is always a daily challenge and an ultimate victory. 2 Cor. 4:16 The Lord has promised those who overcome that they shall be given the morning star. Rev. 2:8 He is also the beginning of those resurrected from the dead who possess a new, a resurrected body. He is the first begotten of the dead. He is alive and lives forevermore. Rev. 1:5 As the morning star He is the dawning of that new day. The seventh day, the day of rest. A period of a thousand years where there will be no light outside of the Lord God Himself, and the Lamb will be the light at that time. The Lord is not confined to that which He has created but manifests His superiority by being the only source of light. Rev. 21:23, Rev. 22:5
THE PROPHECY OF SIMEON. A man who greatly loved the Lord to whom there was given a revelation of the coming of the Messiah. He had received a revelation that he would not die before the coming of the Savior. Lk. 2:25-26 He came by the Spirit into the temple at the precise moment that Jesus was brought there. He took Jesus into his
arms and prophesied over Him, proclaiming Jesus to be, a light to lighten the Gentiles and the glory of thy people Israel. Lk. 2:32 The daystar from on high, the dawning of a new era had arrived. Jew and Gentile were to be united in Christ because of the coming of the light of the world. The light that would dispel darkness from the hearts of the people, had entered into the world. The revelation of the Word, the more sure word of prophecy. 2 Pet. 1:19 Now, to those who were isolated in the darkness of iniquity and sat in the shadow of death. There has come a tremendous light breaking forth into glorious light and liberty. Mt. 4:16 Faith, trust, confidence in the Lord Jesus brings transforming light into a soul that is in spiritual darkness. Where they were once the children of the blackness of sin, they are now the children of light. Exalted and accepted by their heavenly Father and welcomed into the fold as a member of His flock. Jn. 12:36 They are those who walk in the light, embrace the light and seek constantly to do the will of the Lord. They are obedient to the Word and grow spiritually through its instructions and directions.
