SHARING TOGETHER. “I the LORD, the first and with the last, I am He.” Isa. 41:4 A very emphatic declaration of He who existed before any other thing or person. Thus expressing the eternity of His being. The first, the beginning, and the last, the conclusion. Everything between is of His making and is under His control. Beside Him there is no God. Isa. 44:6 His own handiwork is that which brought forth the earth. His right hand spread the heavens out. By His command they follow the orbit that has been ordained for them. They are in definite order and arrangement according to His divine command. Isa. 48:13.

THE STATUS OF THE SON. The possessing an eternal throne. Rightfully and justly called “God.” Addressed as “God” yet seen as man for He also has one whom to Him is “God.” Heb. 1:8-9
He is also acknowledged as having a part in the creation of all things, for they too are the works of His hands. Heb. 1:10 His eternal being is magnified as the one who, ever, eternally will exist and be unchangeable, though all else shall change. Heb. 1:11-12 The record of Genesis [Gen. 1:1-3] is that, in the beginning, God, the Father. The Spirit of the Lord moved. And God said, the Word. All things brought forth by the Word, the Son. God and His Word are wrought together in perfect harmony and function. The fullness of God was involved in creation as He is in all of His works. Jesus was fully involved in all of that which the Lord has done. John 1:3.

DIRECTED TOWARD JACOB, BUT CONTAIN A MESSIANIC WORD. “I have called Him.” Jesus was willing to do the Fathers will in all things. His obedience was perfect. “I have brought Him.” Jesus came forth from the Father. Born of the Father through a virgin in Israel. “He shall make His way prosperous.” He will be successful in all of His endeavors. Isa. 48:15 The will and way of the Lord is not something that is secret. From the beginning His intentions He has made known. “Now, the Lord God, and His Spirit, have sent me.” Isa. 48:16 One of those instances where the Lord spoke to His people of that day but also caused the Word to be applicable to a future time and event. In many ways and with various illustrations the Lord foretold the coming of the Lord Jesus. Periodically in the scriptures such a situation is to be found. The principle is found in these words. “The Lord sent a word unto Jacob, and it has lighted upon Israel. Isa. 9:8. The word that is sent will on occasion contain a second fulfillment.
